This release is a minor release but includes some very interesting features that will hopefully make setting up an LPUniversity mud simple and easy. Also with this release, LPUniversity is proud to announce the first windows package of the LPUniversity available to download. LPUniversity would like to thank the Windows users who made their computer available for testing the deployment of the new windows package.

The updates to the mudlib in this release include a install script for the UNIX package, revised method of data storage for data userfiles, an admin interface for the news system, several bugs in the I3 client fixed (still in experimental "stage" however), news client bug fixed, the new windows package, enhanced login object, fixed finger bug, added some more documentation, and several other smaller bug fixes.

Though this is only a minor release for the mudlib, the real development has been occurring in the other LPUniversity Projects. Along with many improvements and enhancements to the LPUniversity Community website, LPUniversity is proud to announce an official affiliation with the Dead Souls project. The LPUniversity Foundation and the Dead Souls 2 Project will be working together over the next few months to help serve and expand the lpcommunity. Furthermore, LPUniversity will be undergoing some major changes internally to help fix and improve identified issues and bottlenecks. These are exciting times for LPUniversity and we thank you for being a part of it.
