This cat like race evolved after the great war.  It is uncertain as to
whether they mutated from humans or felines, or whether they developed
individually in their own right.  What is certain though is they have the
basic physical appearance of humans including height and stature.  However,
apon closer examination cat-like features are to be found.  Mrem do not have
a unique language but speak fluent human and have the ability to purr and
hiss like other felines.  Other unique features of Mrem are extended hair
growth to the head area, much like a mane found in some felines.  Whiskers
on the upper lip with sharp eye teeth petruding over their lower lips.  All
over body hair provide protection against the elements and their
non-retractable claw like fingers protect against enemies.  The Mrem have
soft, long tails which are more often than not conceiled under clothing
rather than left to hang free.  Pointy ears provide exceptional hearing but
also make them sensitive to loud noises.  Cat-like eyes provide exceptional
night vision and a sensitive nose provides for an enhanced sense of smell. 
Mrem prefer to not live in open spaces but in lightly wooded forests, often
making their homes within the trees.  Mrem, being fond of communal living
can also be found living quite happily in human communities.  Mrem spend
much of the day sleeping because of their high metabolic rates, this means
they will tire quicker than most other races when actively doing something. 
Mrem are exceptionally fond of the night and can often be found hunting
individually at this time.  Mrem young are called kits, whom are taught from
an early age to hate and fear reptiles as all Mrem do.  Mrem rarely put
faith in the gods and hence struggle as Clerics and Paladins.  Mrem are very
agile creatures with lightning quick reflexes.  The woodland home of most
Mrem and their enhanced senses provide an excellent basis for a Mrem to
become versed in woodlore.  As such Mrem make excellent Rangers and Druids.

Desc Before you towers an immense oak tree, large roots boldly span out in all
directions from the base of the tree.  The bark on the tree is worn by what
appears to be thousands of claw marks.  Hushed voices and noises can be

tree.

room.  Fine silver weapons racks line the walls and a simple desk and chair
fill the floor space.  The high quality weapons and armor neatly readied for

Desc You are in a large meeting room.  The floor has been thatched together as
the others have, but unlike the other rooms it has been covered in a soft
layer of moss.  The moss makes for a comfortable seat on the floor.  The
room itself is centered around a large fountain.  Two circles appear to have
been warn into the floor all surrounding the fountain.  The inner circle is
much smaller than the outer and is set about ten hand spans closer to the
middle.  One particular part of the inner circle looks unwarn and fresh
foliage grows on it.  A stone tablet sits behind the space with the word
"protector" written on it.

Desc A primitive looking temple surrounds you.  On the eastern and western
walls are rows of candles and in the northern part of the room sits an alter
of sorts.  Three marble steps lead up to the alter and a beautifully carved

female Mrem smiling mischeviously at you.  The ground below the steps has
three sets of knee imprints left in it, and just infront of each set is an
imprint of a forehead.

Desc You are in what appears to be a library.  There are rows of desks and
chairs facing towards the center of the room and large bookshelves lining
the walls.  The shelves and books themselves are of an impressive quality.

Desc This room is no less primitive that the others yet it has some very
noteable distinctions.  This house has not been inhabited for many
generations, yet it has been neatly maintained.  Rows of weapons wracks line
the walls, all empty.  A lone chair stands before the eastern wall.  Out the
southern window is a clear view of the Temple and through the temple window
can be seen a statue.  A sign rests in a small stand in the center of the
floor.  Several arrows stick out from all angles from the empty shell of
armor, which has long since sunk deep into the floor.

Desc You are in a wooden thatched hut, that appears to be some sort of guard

engraving of a lithe female mrem.

Desc From here a grand view over looks most of the forest.  Some of the trees
still tower over head.  To the south west a large city can be seen.  The
giant oak from which the mrem enter their village spirals upward behind you,
even with your neck arched back you cannot see the top of it.  There are no
rails here to stop you falling and it would be easy to simply step off and
plumet to the forest floor.

Desc This den gives off a very pungent odour.  The smell of herbs, roots and
forest plants mix together to give the air a fresh smell of the forest. 
Rare plants are set in silver pots on the base of several windows, and
strange looking biscuits are spread on a shelf.  The trimmings off branches
litter the floor, and they crackle under foot.

Desc This room has a makeshift wooden and foam dumby in the centre of it.  The
dumby has about twenty pcokets on it.  The back of the dumby has been
decimated with stab markes.  Several fake doors line the northern wall, all

shadow about the size a human could stand in and hide.

Desc This room has been used as a prison.  Marks scarr the insides of the
hollowed section of the tree.  Chains hang on the northern wall.  Although
the room is round, parts of the wall have been carved flat to hand the
chains on and put torch sconses on the wall.  The room contains no windows
excpet for a small breathing hole near the bottom of the tree.

Desc This room looks a little fortified as it has sharp branches protruding
from the top of each wall.  There is no roof, but the lush growth of the
tree provides some shelter.  There has been dirt loaded onto the floor of
the room, and in it are the scuff marks of many a set of shoes.  Fake gnolls
made from sticks are lines against the eastern wall with targets on their
abdomens.

Desc This room also has a dirt floor covered in footprints....  The foot
prints seems somewhat lighter though and in different patterns.  Again fake

of the mrem armies on it.

Desc This room has no fortification but it atleast has a roof.  It seems far
more comfortable than the barracks and has a soft leaf floor.  The portraits
of several tall and proud looking Mrem line the northern wall, and they
appear to be the sucsessive generals of the army.  A desk and chair furnish
the room and a door to the west leads back into the barracks.

Desc A large counter has been made from makeshift branches from the tree you are 
in.  It seems the only way to get to the other side is to climb over.  On 
the other side are piles of various shades of leather and reams of cotton

Name Anita's Study~
Desc This room is beautifully furnished.  The interior walls are lined with
waxen oak, and the supporting beams are laden with intricate carvings of
exotic vines.  A polished oak desk rests against the northern wall and a
book-shelf filled with dusty books covered in threaded bindings is set into
the wall.  On the desk lies a globe, candles, parchment and writing
impliments.  The oak floor is softened by a lush carpet which covers half
the room.  Statues of a silver and golden dragon line the western wall, and
a large hammock supported by two lush oak trees that grow into the walls,
adornes the eastern side of the room.  A fireplace is set behind the
statues, and the ever burning flames within send shadows of the dragons
flittering across the room.  Brass fire-stokers stand in a brass hold just
infront of the fireplace.  An oil painting hangs above the desk.  Alight
candles flicker to either side of the painting illuminating the scene
within.

young girl sits next to her crying in her lap.  In the distance three looming
figures are flying away, they appear to be three dragons.  One of them has
