text A Clan is a collection of players, united to follow and further a common
cause. Each clan has rules and regulations, to find out more about clans
and their 'beliefs' type "help <clanlist>". To join a clan you must be
letgained. Speak to the Clan Leader about joining. Joining a Clan is a
dangerous step. Many adventurers live to kill and torture others and
chances are that your paths will cross. Existing clans may buy special
rooms and mobiles by acquiring diamonds as payment. To see room prices,
type "help prices". New clans may be formed by petitioning the ADMIN.`+
  `+
Guilds are usually clans that have people related by class, ie a theives
guild or mages guild. All characters belong to a guild as we all choose
classes at creation, but offical guilds / clans are an option. The unique
nature of guilds means they can usually specialise in skills, spells etc.`+

As a general rule the ADMIN will do as much as they can to provide you
with exactly what you require for your clan. This extends all the way
from such things as a clan hall, to specific clan skills. The ADMIN
though does require from you something in return. Any specials for your
clan must have a decent roleplay reason for there exsistence.
For example we will not except a clan of barbarians having a "pass proof"
door. Such a door would have to be magical and obviously magic and
barbarians do not mix. Another example would be a clan of thieves with
a special skill to call animals to them, this would be more in line with
nature or druid clan theme.

Below is a list of possible clan-specials.

text These are the formula with which to base your costs on any mobs you make for
your clan. Healers, guards, etc. The costs will be divided up into Level,
Hitpoints, Armor class, and Specials. Mana will be set according to level,
since mobs have no need of mana for usage. Specials refers to any
resistances, or permaffect spells that will be put on mobs. NO IMMUNITIES
with the exception of charm and summon will be allowed. Mobprog prices are
taken care of in the general help file for 'clan-prices'.
Level
1-10th level mobs are 50 gold per level. 10th level mob being 500 gold base.
11-25th level mobs are 100 gold per level.
26-50th level mob is 150 gold per level.
50-75th level mob is 200 gold per level.
76-100 level mob is 300 gold per level.
no mobs above level 100.
So, a level 15 mob would be 1500, not 700.

`GHit Points
Hit points are not prorated by level. They are simply 10 per hitpoint.
`GHowever, each level has a cap, that hitpoints cannot exceed.
As follows:
1-10th level, max 40 hp.
11-25th level, max 100 hp.
26-40th level, max 170 hp.
41-50th level, max 230 hp.
51-65th level, max 300 hp.
66-75th level, max 375 hp.
76-85th level, max 425 hp.
86-100th level, max 520 hp.

`MSpecials
Specials are just based on each indiviual affect.
Some are fairly cheap, some are extravagantly expensive.
Sanctuary. At level of mob. 10000.
Haste. At level of mob. 10000.
Armour, shield, stone skin, barkskin, windshield. 5000 Each.
Invisibility. 500
Chill shield or Fire shield. 500 for either. not both (duh)
-not allowed on mobs of low level that autoassist clan-members.
Bless. 5000.
Other spells, talk to Szordrin/Clan. May add more later if popular ones appear.
Mob act flags specials,
any of the mob act flags (area attack, autoassist) 5000.

`yArmor Class
Change, armor classes will be set along with level as per the builder's doc.

text A group of wolflike creatures huddle around a blazing fire, two males and a
female. The older male two speaks in a deep growling voice to the other male
wolf.. "Son, my tribe has been taken from me by evil. I would have fought
this evil, but I have spent the last years seeking you two, my children. You
were taken from me by this same evil." The fire blazes high and the sheds
more light on the three forms. The older male, the father of the other two
has still seems strong, but his silver fur is showing signs of his age. To
his right a young virile black wolven form. His thick fur makes him seem
extremely large in contrast to the bright flame. On the older wolves left is
a female. Snow white fur covers her strong body and her face has an
attractive smile. All three of the creatures have a distinguishing mark, a
birthmark in the shape of the moon and the sun. The father has both and the
children each carry one. "The time has come to start a new tribe..." the old
wolf sighs slightly and looks into the fire with a blank gaze ".. I have
become too old however, it wont be long before my wielding arms starts to
loose it's strength and my canines are growing dull." "Times have changed..
and places also. We must change with them. There are many races worthy in
this town.... and many that are not." Silence creeps over the three forms
interupted only by the cackle of the fire.

The young male looks over to his father and speaks in the same low growling
voice, perhaps a little steadier than his fathers "I will lead the tribe
father, I will start a tribe for those worthy. No longer will we be forced
to share the pit with weaklings and evil." The father casts his gaze from
the fire to his son and places his hand on his shoulder. A look of both
sadness and happiness crosses his face. "I know you will, son. I will help
in anyway I can." Then a grin fills his face as he remembers back to the
years when he was the highlord of his tribe. "And what fun we'll have". The
female tilts her head back, looks up at the starry night and cackles loudly.
The other two howl and join in the cackling.

a two faced clan.

On the IC part, we are a guild of merchants that will help otheres get
weapons, enchantments, and such services for a price.

Underneath this facade, we are an organisation of thieves and assassins
for hire. We have a representative or two in each city, and we try to
control the thieving trade in each of them. We do hire ourselves out
secretly to seek out and kill those who were slain. For a price. The
genialilties and such help us mask our operations.. thus our clan namesake.
We seek to expand and further our goals and finally, when the time is ripe,
the first founders will disappear and lead others on by puppetstrings. The
lower ranking clanspeople will do good and follow orders from an unknown
source. - The Veil, whom will be never be known.

We will earn a calling card, in which we can be identified by soon.
hopefully nothing too bizarre or ostentatious. The ranking structure has the
Veil on top, followed by the Masters, then Overseers, the Fence and finally
the Footpad. In the world of goodness, we are The Merchant Prince, the
merchant lords, the dealers, the merchants and the aides. in descending
order.

text . You arrive in town, firmly believing in your own strengths and instincts,
ready to go adventuring. With a small pile of silver as your only
possessions, you marvel at the buildings and the people bustling around
town. The plaza seems brimming with populous of every race and of every
profession. You gaze at a young human dressed in gleaming silver plate, and
his sharp longswords glinting in the light.

As you survey the multitude of people gathered talking, you feel a rumble
in your tummy, and decide to head to the nearby store to purchase some food.
To your horror, you find your pursestrings cut and the pouch of silver gone!
You gasp, howl in frustration, and feel the anger rising in your temples.
You look around, trying to seek out the villain who stole your money.
Suddenly, you feel a light tap on your shoulder. You whirl around, fists
clenched, ready for battle. Standing in front of you is an avian looking
straight at you. She speaks in melodic tones,

"Do you need help, young one?" she asked.

You nod, feeling lost and defeated.

She smiles, and hands you a stack of coins numbering in the tens. You
hardly conceal your joy as you thank her. She nods, and turns, spreading her
wings for flight. She cocks her head back and says before departing,

"Remember that the merchants are always there if you need help"

Years pass.. and you feel much more experienced and wise in your
adventures. You have heard of a strong blade, that would aid thee in your
travels, but lack the knowledge to find it. Waiting at the plaza, you see a
gnoll sitting opposite you, looking cursorily at you. He speaks with a
gutteral accent, "Let me introduce myself, I am a Merchant of the Mythrin
Seas Trading Guild. May I be of service?" You outline your problem and he
smiles. "Indeed, i just so happen to have such a blade that you seek. Here,
give me a good offer, and i will gladly trade... " You barter with him for a
while, and the trade is done. "Do know that we are many, and you can seek us
by asking for us, the Merchants. We will gladly try to help if we can
accomodate it. Whatever the service, whatever the item." You nod, smiling to
yourself.

Later, you begin to think about how such a guild can help you, and how
they operate. You ask other adventurers and commonfolk, and gather the
following information. The Merchant Guild seems founded on trade and gold.
They seem focused on being a help to those who need it and can afford it.

Their services include enchantments and of item gathering and retrieval. You
wonder what else they might provide, and how you might benefit from joining
them. Pondering this, you step out of the city, ready for a new adventure.

text `CA beautiful pure white avian mage searched and searched for books of Magic
for years, in her search she heard rumors of a Clan of magic called "The
Circle of Magi". It was a clan of only Magic users that taught all who came
for magic. She made friends with many people of the many magic users of
the land and realized there was a great need for a center of learning for all
magic.

One day as she searched through the streets of Melaki she found a door to the
sewers and as she descended she glimpsed a ghostly figure. It was a ghost
who instead of attacking spoke to her.

"I see you daughter of magic. I have heard echoes of your desire to join the
Circle."

A deep sadness filled his eyes and a moan was torn from his lips.

"All gone my poor mages... All gone from my halls of Magic. Never did I
think we would be brought so low."

Suddenly a light seemed to appear behind the eyes of the ghostly shape.

"Come!"

With that statement he turned and moved through a door, past some stone
gargoyles and through another door and down a hall. Angel followed hurried
looking around with awe-struck eyes. Finally they arrived in a ghostly hall
filled with shelves of books a fireplace and some over stuffed chairs. As she
looked around curiously, the ghost sunk into a chair and looked at the ghostly
fire broodingly.

"Do you think you could carry on the ideals I started this clan with? That of
sharing magic and being apart of a whole community of magic?" The ghost
stared penetratingly at Angel.

"Yes I know I could carry on. I have dreamed of a clan of such Ideals since
I was young. However I would expand that to include all the users of magic
for they all need to learn and communicate with others of their kind and meet
people of all magical natures." The young avian smiled dreamily but with
determination.

"Your vision is a little flawed but I see no one in this land that can carry
on our Ideals. Take then my blessings into you new clan and know I look
kindly upon you."

With those words the ghost faded softly away smiling faintly at Angel.`^

where they decided to settle down. Once there they founded the
Temple of Vengeance. With time the Family became so powerful, that
they became known to a few as the Vl'arescht Clan. With the wealth

that way.

The Vl'arescht Clan attempt's to create a massive enough army to be

drove them away from their homelands. They attempt to gain allies
who are strong, and usually enslave the week. They believe that by
cleaning the world of their enemy's, The God of Vengeance will be
able to claim the world as his and thus rule it with an iron fist.

They believe that when their god rules the world; that they will be
the chosen ones and will rule part of the kingdom's. The Clan is led
by the Vl'arescht family (drow males mostly) and also has some of
what they believe are the best and most loyal of the other race's as

The Order has been formed to provide a means to further the pursuit of
knowledge, to discover and control the forces of the universe. From
this knowledge comes power, the ability to control our own destiny, and
from that we shall gain our freedom from those who might wish to
manipulate our future. From this freedom we shall become the guardians
of power, the holders of balance and from all this we shall discover
the ultimate truth, the secret of immortality.

The Order is ruled by a strict hierarchy of Magi who advance through
the demonstration of skill, discipline, competence and strength. Their
only comfort comes from the Magic which they cherish so dearly. With
time discipline and training they could be great. But will they follow
the footsteps of the Magi of old, which eventually led to their doom?
Or will they succeed where the old Magi failed. This is a question
that has yet to be answered.

It is said that only a few Mages are found worthy and chosen to be a part
of this elite Circle. These few commit their lives to the path that they have
chosen, they would give everything and anything for the benefit of the
Order. Such discipline is rarely found elsewhere.

To this day their existence is kept a secret. Many suspect but few know
the truth of their existence, and even fewer know that flourish in
the shadows determined not to be ruled by the inferior warriors who
thrive only with the assistance of mages in their service.`^

"And why do you say that?" `+

"Its just that they have proper lessons and such... A really structered

text . For many thousands of years people have lived in the wilderness, as part of
nature. However people have recently been moving in a new direction. They
have been migrating into large cesspools that they call "cities." These
cities mock the goodness that is nature, polluting the streams with sewage,
the air with smoke and the land with refuse. At first the cities were
small, not taking up much of the beautiful forest that they were built in,
but now the cities are growing larger. They expand daily, driving animals
from their homes and destroying that which Gaia created. `+
`+
However there are those who oppose this reckless expanshion. For years
there have been the lone ranger, druid or concerned hermit fighting their
induvidual wars against the sprawling cities. These attempts were largely
unsuccessful, but now there is hope for these induviduals. A few determined
induviduals have banded together to form an organization to protect the
wildes from the growing threat of the cities. The organization that they
have formed is called "The Children of Gaia." `+
`+
The purpose of this organization is to protect the wildes at all cost. The
favored method is to educate the masses, teach them the errors of their
ways. When this fails sabotoge or other extreme methods are considered. To
fund the organization its members use their knowledge of the wilderness to
get money. Acting as guides or searching for items brings as well as
donations brings in the money needed to support the Children. `+
`+
The Children are always seeking new members. Those wishing to join must
seek out one of the elders of the Children. Unless the one seeking is
obviously not truely interested in saving the wilderness the seeker will
almost always be admitted. If you think that you or someone you know would
like to join the Children's fight for the wilderness seek us out, we have a
long fight ahead of us

text `RThe soft sound of footsteps echoed throughout the campsite, a slight
crunch of a boot upon some dried leaves was the only warning of any approach
to his tent. `+
`+
"Sir?" , came a soft call from the flap that was the entrance to the tent.
"My Lord General, Sir, I've returned with the report you wanted..." `+
`+
He turned slowly towards to voice that addressed him. The soldier is a
young one, he thought to himself, still ready to please. `+
`+
"Come in, Soldier. Did you do what I asked" The soldier nodded slowly and
strode up to the make shift table in the center of the tent. With a
slightly trembling hand, he pulled a rolled up document from beneath his
breastplate. Using rocks as paperweights on each of the four corners, the
soldier spread the map out. `+
`+
"It does not look good sir," The soldier started "The opposing army has
quite a reputation" `+
`+
The General let out a soft chuckle. "Son, I've won dozens of campaigns, and
I shall not lose to a bunch of militia rag-tag soldier pretenders who call
themselves The Circle of Chaos" `+
`+
The soldier shifted uneasily and let out an unconfident laugh "I've heard
rumors milord... They say" `+
`+
The General waved his hand cutting off the soldier. Clasping his hands
behind his back, he started to pace the room muttering to him self in
thought. `+
`+
"If my years taught me anything, it is to know your enemy... What can you
tell me of them?" He addressed the now very nervous army man. `+
`+
"Well My Lord General, They say the Circle of Chaos is gathering of Warriors
and Mystics, with chapters stretching out from the corners of the world.
This group seems to be fairly new to the region, but they have picked up an
enormous amount of support. They are very selective of who can be amongst
their group," The soldier paused for a moment to catch his thoughts "You
really have to be Elite for them to embrace you as one of theirs." `+
`+
The General nodded slightly, taking in the facts "Sounds almost like a Cult
of Imidazole. I've dealt with that Cult before." `+
`+
The Soldier shook his head slightly "Nay, milord. They do not seem to
worship Imidazole or his works of Chaos, despite their name. The seem to
sow Chaos in their wake, like an unholy army, taking in consideration no
laws or edicts but their own... Sir... We outnumber them Five to One, but
the rumors... The men are afraid, they wish to retur..." `+
`+
The soldiers words were cut short by the General slamming his fist onto the
table in outrage, shattering it's fragile frame "I'll have no talk of mutiny
in my ranks Man! Return to the Camp site and rouse the men. We attack the
enemy camp at daybreak." The Soldier gave a quick salute then bolted from
the tent. `+
`+
The General sighed softly and rubbed his almost bald head with his hand
absently. He was growing too old for this. He needed his pot of tea, to
soothe his nerves before the battle. Walking slowly towards the entrance
flap. He poked his head out to address the Private who usually stands guard
at his tent. He frowned with consternation when he saw that the private was
not there. He must be off at his bedrolls, The general thought angrily to
himself. I must berate him for such slackness. He strode out of his tent,
and stumbled over a large object in his path, tumbling head first into the
dirt. Standing up quickly, he turned to regard the object that tripped him.
The corpse of the Soldier who reported to him lay silently at his feet, a
black-hilted dagger embedded deep in his throat, denying him even his death
scream. `+
`+
"Beautiful... Is it not?" A hiss-like whisper came from the shadows. The
General spun towards the direction of the sound. A huge golden-scaled
lizardman stood half concealed by the shadows around him. "Yes, Elgi think
it is time for your pathetic group to be destroyed..." As the giant
lizardman spoke, three more figures slipped from the shadows. A terrifying
silver haired voadkyn, a male mrem with black fur like the shadows
themselves, and a evil-looking grinning platinum scaled lizardman. `+
`+
"To arms men!" The General yelled on the top of his lungs, drawing his
bastard sword "We are under attack!" The figures before him started to
laugh quietly, smiling wickedly in the dim light. The voadkyn kicked a
round object towards the feet of the surrounded general. His eyes adjusting
slightly, the General saw it was a severed head of his Second-in-command,
Lanth. Growling in disgust the General leapt back. Had he been paying more
attention, he would have noticed a dark-skinned female drow with silver hair
creeping up behind him, with a wicked looking dagger in her hand... `X
