One thing I would be happy to avoid reimplementing in my mudlib, if there were suitable code to reuse, is code that deals with text formatting. Taking lists of words and displaying them in columns. Wrapping text to an arbitrary width. Etc.

Anyone know of available code that resembles this? I would really like to be able to adopt a small one file Python script that was liberally licensed and provided for all the common cases.
