OK, I'm trying to do something similar to what Blizzard did on the WoW site (<– Link is http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/index.xml clicking the link doesn't seem to want to play well with the WoW webserver so it might be easier to just copy/paste.) with regards to the left hand navigation menu. I'm trying to do this to my QSFP install, and Well, so far all attempts have failed. I want to make it so that if you click on the red part of the navigation menus on my site will collapse down to save length, as several of the upcoming additions are going to make that left side far longer than the main section of the page.

Once I get them to collapse, well, I'll move on with my changes and additions form there. But I want to get them to collapse first. If anyone has any suggestions I'm willing to listen. I'm also willing to try just about anything. Because of the dynamic content in the blocks, any of the ones built by programs available won't work. (I've tried a couple of them already, they don't really work. But they might have been modifiable to work if I was more familiar with JS and how to work with it.)

If anyone wants to help but isn't familiar with QSFP you can download it here. My skin is just a recolored version of the Ashlander skin, which is just a recolored version of the default skin. So… yeah.. Help.. please?

Hrm..Not sure

This: http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex...

or this: http://www.ozzu.com/programming-forum/co...

Maybe those links will help. I just searched for html collapsible frame. shrug

I'm not very good with web programming.

No idea on QSFP, although I poked a little javascript together to show/hide chunks of content here. Considering that Blizzard's site uses flash as well, it probably either swaps images around or possibly uses panels with different Z ordering.

DavidHaley pointed me to this thing called MooTools. And it seems to be able to do exactly what I'm looking for. I'm reading over the documentation currently to see what it does, but it appears the Accordion bit is what I'm looking for. At least in a way. I was looking for them to stay open when multiple are clicked, but this Accordion bit makes more sense then what I was trying to do because It'll keep everything slim, and not so.. lengthy.

Clientside, which is a set of classes that extend Mootools has an accordion class that lets you have multiple panes open. Try this: http://www.clientcide.com/wiki/cnet-libr...

Thanks Asylumius. :D Now I can try them both and see which one the staff likes the best

I got it working, and after having several staff members look at the two variations, we went with the straight up accordion model from MooTools. But for now, I'm happy with having that done. Now its time for sleep. :P
