I've noticed that the installation suggestions for Stackless Python on Mac are… interesting (install over Apple's Python? Eek). There's no port in MacPorts, and it looks like I'm getting compile errors on the source checkout. What kind of strategies have others employed to get Stackless working alongside the standard Apple Python AND MacPorts Python 2.6?

I have a feeling it'll involve installing to a certain prefix and symlinking things using different names (spython? sp_easy_install?). Was just hoping for something more simple. Would love to see a MacPort for this.

This is something that is relevant to Stackless Python, and only tangentially to MUD development. If this really concerns you, you should bring it up on the Stackless Python mailing list.
