Ok, I was thinking that subdomains and cnames worked together that way. *shrug*
Had a feeling you'd say something like that. If only I could figure out this php/mysql stuff a bit, I'd love to come up with a working calendar for it and a better photo gallery too, the one that exists badly needs help, but I do agree that those are it's two main (if not sole) shortcomings currently.
Articles code would be nifty, but I don't know if it's as needed. At least, for my purposes.. though I could see using it on my mud site in a number of ways, so I suppose that'd be a good addition too.. and fortunately, you've already got that one in development here at www.mudbytes.net and coming along pretty nicely.
Bug trackers I know nothing about, I thought that was what the www.qsfportal.com site was for. …Suppose you could always get Kiasyn to finish his bug tracker and use it for QSFP too. *shrug*
I've been toying with PunBB that past few weeks, it's actually really nice. I like it because of it's lack of features and the available mods and hacks you can get for it from contributers. I was also messing with SMF and Phorum and all three are pretty decent. I have to say I like them much better than phpBB anyways.
I don't have a problem with SMF's licensing. It's Joomla's fanatical interpretation of the GPL I had the problem with.
Had I not found MercuryBoard when I did, I might just as well have used SMF. It was a close contender for me at the time even though I found their code somewhat disorganized and hard to follow.
