Mythran Mud release 3.1.11 Compiled DOS version Mon Jul 10, 1997 This file was written by: Mark Janssen Maniac (v942346@si.hhs.nl) Jeroen v/d Maat Canth (canth@xs4all.nl) Mythran Mud Staff: mythran@envy.com Instructions for Installation: The Mythran zipfile is compressed with the entire directory structure intact, all you have to do is copy the file to your hard-disk and extract the zip file (With subdirectories !!) Example: copy a:myth-dos.zip c:\ cd c:\ unzip myth-dos.zip Now you will have a directory named: c:\myth-dos Go to the 'area' directory and start mythran with 'mythran.exe' Mythran will boot, this can take some time (from 1 minute on slow 386's to 10 seconds on fast pentiums). While booting you will see a list of the area's that are beeing loaded. When mythran is finished loading it will connect you to the mud automatically (Normally in unix-es you would need to telnet to the mud, this is now done for you) Just log in as usual, but with username 'Mythran' and password 'godchar' if you want to ba able to use all commands and build area's. You can now build area's. When you're done, do an 'asave changed' to save all your modifications. It's best to keep a backup of the original area's in case you mess up. To quit the mud you can use the 'quit' command, this will save you and the area's that have not been saved yet. You can also press <CTRL-C> to abort the mud without saving both you and the area's. NOTE: The only thing not working in this DOS-version of Mythran are the mobprogs. They didn't work good the first time, and I don't feel like editing code for this dos-version.
