#101 Tower enterance~ You stand in the entryway of the Tower of the Ordeal. In order to recieve magical gifts from Marduk, you must pass through this tower alive. It is dark and cold within the tower, and you hear screams in the distance. There is a magical mouth on the east wall. ~ 1 d 0 0 0 0 D0 ~ ~ 0 -1 102 E magical mouth east~ As you look at the mouth, it comes alive and speaks! The mouth says, "To die is to fail. To quit is to fail. In order win the gifts of Marduk, you must reach the top. If you fail, you will not be readmitted. You have been warned." ~ S #102 Center of the tower~ Every surface of the tower has been worn smooth with age, you wonder how long this place has stood. It is obviously quite old. Oddly you notice there are no cobwebs or dust...just smooth, black stone. You give silent prayer to Marduk to grant you the strength to finish this ordeal. Marduk's power flowing into the tower. If you survive the ordeal, you will feel that power flowing into you as well. To the north and south are small doorways. You can see many bottle and beakers here. Some are being warmed over flame, or mixed to seperated. There is a rather large bookshelf on the western wall containing, you'd guess, many books on a large varitiy of subjects. There is a magical portal set into the north wall, which lies dormant and closed.
