The Obsidian Guardian~
A tall statue of polished obsidian.
~
The fifteen foot polished obsidian statue stares down upon you.  It's
eyes glow with a soft iridescence that threatens to draw you into hypnosis. 
Those must be some expensive jewels, you think to yourself.  Suddenly, your
heart skips a beat.  You glance at the large battle axe that probably
weights several times your own weight, and stare up at it disbelief-did that
statue just blink?

The Obsidian Priest~
The Obsidian Priest stands here
~
It stands here, chanting in a voice impossibly low for any human to make.
The long dark robes that enshroud this figure seem to have a life of its
own, as they slowly glide through the air.  Trying to see below the large
hood of the creature before you, you see only darkness.  You feel that
something is not quite right, and then you realize there is no breeze-no
sound at all, only the relentless chanting.  The only thing that saves you
from panic is the soothing webs of healing magics that have been layered
upon you.

Obsidian Castle Entrance~
You are standing on the black drawbridge to the Obsidian Castle.  As you
look more closely to the walls, you notice that they are indeed polished
multi-ton blocks of pure obsidian.  Tall spires stretch up towards the
clouds several hundred feet.  Squinting, you noticed the person who was just
watching you has left the window in one of the spires.  The doorway into the
Obsidian Castle is a massive stone head of a dragon, its maw gaped open. 
The fangs of the head are almost as tall as you are, and some even have dark
red stains.

Meeting Chambers~
A table of red and yellow tiger, faceted with opal, rests in the middle
of the room.  Enough seats for the entire staff of the kingdom have been
placed around the table, and seem to have been in constant use.  Maps of all
sorts lay upon the smooth surface of the table, markers of armies and cities
in various places.  You turn around to leave and stop suddenly.  Two twelve
foot statues of knights in shining armor lean against the walls to the right
and left of the entrance.  Somehow, you feel the sensation that they are
watching you...

Healers Hall~
Black red and blue velvet pillows cover every inch of the floor here.  At
the opposite side of the room stands a creature in long flowing black robes,
behind a blood red altar.  As you enter, it's head raises for a moment, and
prepares spells of healing for you.  As the figure chants away in one of the
deepest voices you have ever heard, you begin to feel a little better.

Teleportation Chambers~
The room is lit only by a single torch on the wall to your right.  The
darkness is so thick in this room that even your spells cannot pierce it. 
Before you turn to leave, a whisper echoes off the walls.  "Tell me where
you wish to go, traveler."  You begin to wonder where he will allow you to
go, when you feel the hairs on the back of your neck stiffen.  The torch
flickers for a moment, then a brilliant red flame explodes on the opposite
wall.  Before your eyes have time to blink-the flame dies down and you are
able to read the glowing letters.  "This is the sign."  Said the whisper
again.
