I am currently developing a new variation of Majormud, I am having a little issue with how the combat initiation would go. Right now I can fight player(s) and mob(s) in a linear fashion, but not sure how the initial combat should go. My thoughts were maybe when moving a player to a room, from the monsters perspective check if the player(s) in the room is hostile to them and start the combat thread. Still really new to this and may be way off so any advice would be helpful.
