Hi there!

Oh great and omnipresent coders, I present you with
the oppertunity to help..

a sheep stuck in the mud.

I've been trying to upgrade my mud to the new codebase
released from Soi that utilizes C++ (Diku) though for
the life of me I can't get it to work. Mostly its attributed
due to my inability to code.. (coughs) beyond the tiny basics.
My strength lies more in writing and luring players into plots
of dire danger and death. But i've tried to get it running!
And failed gloriously -.o

I have been looking for coders with no avail. I would appretiate
it if anyone, anyone was willing to take a peekle at it to try
and help me to get it up and running. I'd be so, so grateful.
My own coder vanished not too long ago without a word or
virtual trace

I hope i'm not bothering anyone by putting this post up here…
I wasn't sure in which forum section to ask (scuffles sheepishly).

The mud's concept is fully resolved. Most of the building is done.
All thats left to prepare it for beta testing is the new code. My
email address is sheep.manic@gmail.com if anyone is willing to try
and help!

Thank you so much for your consideration!

There are plenty of resources out there to learn how to code.

Ironic as it may be… getting a mud to boot up properly isn't always a code issue. If you give us details of what's going on, we might be able to help you at least get it booted without having to learn to program overnight.
