ROCK The Rock Waves crash around you as you stand on a high pillar of rock rising from the tempestuous crashing ocean. The air is full of salt water spray washing down, hiding much of your view in a swirling white mist. A tall tower looms through the mist to the north.^ $ANY rock outside 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 TENTRY Tower Entry You hang on tightly against the edge of the tower, as crashing waves swirl around you breaking heavily over the rocks, the strong current tugging hard at your feet, trying to pull you down and cast you into the wild foaming waters. The tower door is north.^ tower entry outside 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 TOWERG In The Tower The thick stone walls shake and shudder as the sea crashes against them, the breaking waves roaring and battering endlessly against the smooth impregnable stonework. A narrow stair ascends and decends the tower, or you could go south through the front door, which creaks and groans with the howling wind.^ tower hall dark 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 TOWERS Tower Stairs The stairs spiral tightly upwards following the solid stone walls. The steps tremble and shake under your feet, in sympathy with the rhythmic pounding of the sea on the rock. The stairs ascend and descend to other floors.^ tower stairs dark 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 TOWERR Tower Room You are standing in a small, near circular chamber part way up the tower. An oak door leads west out onto the stairs. A small window allows a little sunlight to spill out across the gloom.^ tower room 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 TOWERT At The Top Of The Tower You stand in a large chamber at the top of the tower. Wide windows look out across the rock, and the raging seas, looking far out in all directions. The only exit from the chamber is a single iron door to the west.^ tower top 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 TOWERTR At The Top Of The Stairs You stand at the top of the tower stairs. The stone steps wind steeply down and out of sight below you. Ahead of you the stairs end in a large rune marked iron door.^ stair top dark 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 JROCK The Jagged Rocks The waves crash wildly around you covering you in icy salt water, which stings and burns your eyes. The rocks are becoming difficult and very dangerous to follow. It looks as if you could just about continue westwards, or retreat back east. A spire of rock rises to the north, but the waves are rough and would probably sweep you away.^ jagged rocks outside 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 JROCK2 The Jagged Rocks You manage to stagger about half way out towards the spire before the roaring waves and the howling winds overcome you and you topple into the crashing seas.^ jagged rocks outside death 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 JROCK3 The Jagged Rocks You are standing on the edge of a rocky spire. Although the spire is steep and unclimable, you can work your way westwards over the rocks. To the south a narrow treacherous band of low rock links the spire with the mainland.^ jagged rocks outside 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 JROCK4 The Jagged Rocks You stand at the base of a rocky spire. Tall jagged rocks jut out of the sea all around you. Looking around the only way you can see across the rocks is back east around the base of the spire. The rotting remains of an old sailing boat lie smashed against the rocks. The wood is coated in slime and seaweed and it has obviously been there for several years.^ jagged rocks outside 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 JROCK5 The Jagged Rocks The rocks come to an abrupt end, giving way to a sheer and unclimable cliff which plunges down into the crashing seas. Apart from gazing far out to sea there is little you can do but clamber back across the rocks.^ jagged rocks outside 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 SHIPWRECK The Shipwreck You are standing on the dangerously slanted deck of an old rotting ship. Most of the ship has collapsed and given way, but the basic framework still remains reasonably intact.^ $ANY shipwreck outside 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 INSHIP Inside The Ship Most of the ships innards are rotting and decaying away. A huge gash in the floor of the boat looks down onto the water. A very dodgy looking ladder climbs up a fairly stout wooden post up to a hatchway leading out onto the deck. What little that remains of the ship makes it clear it was a slaver of some kind. The rusting remains of metal shackles are still visible against the rotting oarlocks, and the odd bone still lies on the floor.^ inside ship 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0
