well, aside from that minor flare up of Samson's, I'd say this has been a good thread so far. And Samson, to be fair, I did start this thread intending it to spark some good natured debate.
To DH and Crat, I've enjoyed reading your little back and forth immensely. Especially the post where DH called Crat a "rhetorically incompetent bastard". That one made an otherwise mediocre night into a slightly less mediocre night.
You really think that people can only be funny and/or have fun when drunk?
Me? No. Considering I can't stand the stuff, or anything alcoholic really, I'm well aware that being drunk isn't necessary for being funny or having fun. In fact, most folks around here have loads more fun without alcohol being involved at all.
It just seems from past experiences around the MUD community that nearly everyone expresses their fun in terms of how many beers they've had which tends to lead to silly stuff like you guys posted. Are you sure I'm the only uptight asshole who needs to lighten up around here?
Having now met David face to face, and Crat as well, I can honestly say neither are uptight assholes. Davion on the other hand…
Well, he's a reasonable guy and all…

I work for Wells Fargo as an Operations Specialist. I deal with about 80 accounts daily, and I can tell you that The entire banking system would be a mess without pennies.
I would be willing to address any Banking questions.
In the UK we have a semi-fixed Value added tax (VAT) of 15%, not a general sales tax. This is due to change again back to its 17.5% rate at the beginning of 2010. All of the UK prices on display include VAT, unless explicitly mentioned, and no, we didn't have any problems with changing a few labels. I cannot remember the last time VAT changed.
Also, AFAIK, Spain's equivalent (IVA) is 16% and is fixed in a similar manner by the government (I believe).

Same in France, although IIRC the TVA is 19.5% or thereabouts – easy to look up if desired.
