On the beach~
The beach here is very nice, when the sun
is up, the water sends a shimmering reflection
which sometimes has a nasty habit of looking like
words. (A Mage Guild prank.) Today, however,
no strange messages are coming from the surf.  To
the west is a tavern, and to the east is a large
number of boats.

This tavern is small, and made of logs.
There's a huge bonfire in the middle of
this one-room building, with a chimney not
big enough to handle the smoke.  This makes
breathing in here difficult.  That's not
entirely a bad thing, though, because the stench
of fish is not something you miss terribly much.
