Light from the eastern exit is bouncing off these crystals making a brilliant light all around you. Of course...you could always read the sign here. The cave is pretty bland with just bits and pieces of &Rred&C and &Bblue&C crystals here and there embedded in the walls. To the west is a little test run and a little reward that will help you on your way. One more thing, most of this area is no recall. However, there are a few recall places and you might get a hint when you reach one.' ~ S #1323 A great light.~ There is a very big orb here in the middle of the room, floating on a pedestal. The orb seems to have designs of intricate weapons on it. The cavern around you cannot be seen because of the light. The rocky walls are embedded with thousands of these tiny crystals and some of these crystals crumble away from the wall when touched. The words come out in a throaty, spidery talk. The cave opening is lit with brightly, shining crystals and the walls look sturdy enough and tall enough to fit an ogre in there. Birds can be heard from the trees, singing happily and merrily. The grass smells of sweet dew and the air has a nice, warm, calm feeling to it. Not too high of a climb, but enough of a drop to hurt. The cave mouth is a good 15 feet high by 8 feet wide, meaning that the first part of the cave is probably quite big. From far into the cave, a steady dripping can be heard. All caves seem to leak for some reason. Quite a few of them show some type of warrior with a shining sword facing a huge winged type of animal. With a closer inspection, the winged animal doesn't seem to be a dragon, although it does resemble a dragon. Some pictures show three people with one of them holding a shining sword facing the winged animal, while others show a huge tree with great branches. The air hasn't turned that much hotter but the ground is awfully hot. Somehow, you know this quest is going to be very interesting to solve. How did a cloud get down here?! Wait a minute...is that water dripping from the ceiling? Of course! The water is evaporating from the hot walls and ground! The steam kind of has an invigorating sort of freshness to it. The cavern itself is quite small, enough to hold maybe 4 tall people. The only exits in view are the way you came from and that gaping hole. There's a feel of magic in the air. Seems like this place is a safe area. Wait! What's that? In the corner of the cave, a sign so hidden that if it weren't for the magical aura around it, you wouldn't be able to see it. The sign reads 'Once down, there's no up.' After dropping from the hole above, the hole disappears and reappears in the middle of this cavern that can be used to drop down. There seems to be a magical and quite artificial light humming through these caverns. The cavern is not as warm as above, where the steam was creating a lot of heat, but it's warm enough. Jagged rocks jolt up from the ground and ceiling, brushing your head. The cavern leads off to the east since going back up is impossible. ~ 36708360&2 0 0 0 0 D1 Through the new caverns. ~ ~ 0 0 1415 0 0 S #1415 A mural~ On the north wall, a huge mural that takes up the entire wall and extends right to the east wall attracts your eye. The mural has three very well drawn people riding on the back of a huge winged animal flying towards a fortress that is floating in the sky that seems to be under attack from another winged beast. The three people can be clearly identified, one as a small sprite boy, another as a buxom young woman with a fierce look in her eyes, and the 3rd person is a young man with spikey hair wielding a shining sword. There's a sound like a saw cutting through a very tough old board echoing off the walls. Listening closely reveals that the sound is coming off from the east. For the first time in this cavern, this is a 3 way intersection. The sound IS snoring. The snoring is coming from a very very BIG object. Holding your light up so it can take in the object, the object turns out to be a.....a giant! Staring in awe, your light attracts the giant and his eyes open and stares at you...with anger. Where there's the clean smell of air, there's an opening up ahead. There's light coming from up ahead and it's not that magical artificial light that was used back in the cave. Water is dripping down from the ceiling and lush vines creep on the walls. The air smells so sweet and fresh. The lush green grass looks inviting. The nippy mountain coldness feels so invigorating... wait a minute...mountain coldness? Really looking around, you notice that you are on the far northwestern side of the mountain on a trail going up and around. How did that happen?! How strange. Of course, this entire journey has been strange, but this is still quite strange. Looking off to the northwest, a vast forest can seen covering the land. After a long trek through countless forests, climbing hills and mountains, trudging through dark caves and lush grasslands, and climbing mountain trails, you reach the summit of the largest mountain in this land. The summit is quite large, with snow all around the surface and on the jagged, unclimbable peak. However, where do you go from here? Taking a closer inspection around the peak reveals a shimmering portal embedded in the rocks. Rainbow colors flash through the sky of this place and the surface looks like crystal clear glass, however, it is quite solid. There are yellow lights showing a path that leads off to the east. The sign is just a white board stuck on a wooden post...floating...a few inches off the trail. The sign reads 'Take notice adventurer for there are mighty mana beasts ahead. For there are 8 elements, there are also 8 beasts. They are quite powerful and quite a challenge. Now is the time to turn back for those who are weak.' Turn back? THE WIND IS SO LOUD THAT TALKING IS USELESS. NOTHING CAN BE SEEN BECAUSE OF THE WIND. THE WIND IS SO FAST THAT IT IS VISIBLE. Trees of every sort surround you. Grass grows high beneath the trees and fresh air fills the sky. However, the sounds of nature do not fill your ears, and an uncanny silence fills the world. There are three ways to take here, the way back, to the north and to the southeast. Out of nowhere, an earthquake starts to shake things up a bit and the earth splits in two and a huge ferocious monster comes flying out of the ground. Nothing can be seen. There's another sign in the middle of the trail. It reads, 'Congratulations, hero, for making it through the 8 mana god beasts. I say hero because it takes a courageous and strong person to defeat the gods. Welcome to the dimension of the winged beast.' Is that good news or bad news? Looking down shows the entire area of Pure Land....wait a minute...it IS the sky of Earth. To give a rough estimate of how high this is, the largest mountain in Pure Land, the one with the portal on it, well, it looks like a thimble. Way in the distance, is that old cottage where that mean ol' Vampire hangs out in. Far in the distance, the entrance to this mystical land can be seen. Feeling the flow of mana, a magical draft can be felt flowing up into the clouds. The amount of mana surging to the west is just too much! It feels as if all the world's mana concentrates to the west of here. It's just....incredible! This...power. This much....mana. It's unbearable! The entire area glows a navy &Bblue&C and the sky echoes with the humming of magic. In the center of this area lies something like a huge oil gush full of mana!. In the center of that mana lies a big, BIG winged type of beast that closely resembles the one seen in the mural in the cave.
