I know it's kind of a clumsy way to do it, but the only other alternative is to save those times out to the file, and I'm not sure it's worth all that at least at this point. Someday when I'm actually bored I might be tempted to do it, but for now, everyone gets a fresh 0 start upon reboot. isawiz is also set upon reboot now so that people can unveil after doing a reboot. (Before, people in prived could not unveil after a reboot without quitting and logging back on, because isawiz is set upon login and was not set at any other time until today). The game catches the attack and calls peace, warns the person that their behavior is not acceptable, and calls war again. The catch is instantaneous. For example, when you alias someone, other players in the room where you did the alias will see that the mobile is standing there, not you. Also, if a reboot occurrs while someone is aliased, the game will create a level 0 player of the name of the mobile, which could potentially cause problems in the future that I don't know about yet. I patched the holes that crash the mud when the aliasor types who, user, or moves in a direction, but I have a feeling that there are deeper problems in the way alias works, and you should use it at your own risk, if not disable it all together. 2/16/95 rex (96mowry@matt.alma.edu) ----------------------------------------------- Took some more out of database.c and put it in the rest of the code. There are also some problems in the zone files with pnames being set to things like weapon and food, overriding the real name of the object. Maybe this is part of the clone bug where if you clone something called food and try to get it the mud will crash. I noticed that after a reboot, idle times go haywire. Why?
