	on systems with POSIX Threads support a per-player thread is spawned
	to lookup the user and host name. all other systems get the client
	machine's IP as information.

	readable than this relic of SillyMUD we used which is also a simple

	  Fix by MistBlade.

	* src/comm.c: changed ident code, added a couple of checks.

	* removed macintosh support cruft.  if you want to run a mud in an OS

	shield all made DAM_FIRE).

	* src/comm.c: changed code for colour() and colourconv() so that it now
	shows the {'s to a player without colour on, etc.
