Schools of fish and other creatures swarm around the reef, seeming to revel in the very fact that they exist. The schools of small fish that appeared to be cavorting in the waters near the reef are in actuality fleeing from the reef itself, as strands of blood-red seaweed and stalks of deformed coral reach outward, attempting to snare unwary prey. The malevolence exuded from the reef permeates the water surrounding it, making it difficult to move. A gaping hole has been carved into the reef, apparently leading into its bowels. Thin, semi-transparent membranes cover the mouths of these passages, blocking access to the chambers beyond. A massive arch frames a gateway, leading deeper within the coral castle. Both the arch and gate are fashioned of sparkling, blood-red coral. No trace of damage can be found on the coral, it must have been shaped by magical means. Crystal statues of great dragons sit upon each pedestal in memory of those who have entered the spirit world. In the minimal light can be seen stacks of casks piled from floor to ceiling, each bearing a strange mark to distinguish the many varied brands and brewers. Although primarily stocked with casks, a small wine rack can just about be distinguished against a wall, filled almost to overflowing with a range of distinctive glass bottles, many of whom are covered in a thick layer of dust and cobwebs strongly indicating the preferences of the patrons in the tavern above. The darkness from behind slowly fades away and more and more becomes visible. The tunnel slowly becomes more of a cavern-like area and the walls have changed from packed mud into solid stone. The floor is covered with small pebbles that definitely did not just appear out of nowhere. It shimmers slightly, as if it were a mere hologram. The walls have energy absorbing plates, as do the floors. The room is wide open and has a warm feel to it. The walls are pure white, there is a small light above you, providing an adequete amount of light for you to see. The dummy shimmers again, it is just stareing at you... Waiting for you to attack. ~ 0 4 1 S #20146 A Spiral Stairway~ The Stairs lead down, twirling in a Spiral-like pattern, tiles litter the floor below. Windows eliminate the stairwell, guiding the gamers down. Rails to both sides make for quick travel down the stairs to the lounge area. The darkness now completely surrounds everything. Above the tree roots have either disappeared or the ceiling has grown higher. The tunnel grows more humid and water drips from the ceiling here covering the ground with a very thin lair of wet mud. The area has stopped growing narrower for the moment and is easier to pass through. Every sound echos to the east and west making it hard to tell if any of the footsteps belong to others. ~ 0 4 1 D1 ~ ~ 0 -1 20144 D3 ~ ~ 0 -1 20148 S #20148 A Narrow Underground Tunnel~ As the tunnel continues deeper and farther beneath the surface the light in the tunnel is reduced to almost nothing. The tunnel narrows a bit ahead and continues downward at a slight decline. The roots of the plants above have turned into unmistakably the roots of the trees of the forest. The tunnel continues east into complete darkness and the unknown. The walls of the tunnel are covered in small holes, each just big enough to fit a finger into. It appears to be man-made in nature and the ground here is made of packed down mud. Very little light filters down this far into the tunnel but there is a little from behind. The tunnel leads straight to south and narrows a little in some areas. Roots of the grass and bushes of the meadow can be seen above hanging out of the ground. They spread out across the ceiling of the tunnel strengthening it and soaking up moisture from the air in the tunnel, keeping it very dry. ~ 0 4 1 D2 ~ ~ 0 -1 20148 D4 ~ ~ 0 -1 20150 S #20150 A Cavern Beneath the Pool~ From above the tunnel was completely disguised by the meadow brook. It appeared to be a normal brook in every way, with swirling currents and the natural carved rocks and floor of one. Now, ripples of light filter down from the water above into the cavern you are now in. The cavern is completely devoid of water, and looking up there is only a thin sheet of water hovering magically overhead. Filtered light of the day ripples and wraps the contents of the tunnel in intricate pattern. Looking up the distortions are not of what was from where you previously came but of far off places enswathed in the changing currents of the waters. Deep wood shelves line every wall of the cellar, packed with tightly sealed jars and canisters of rice and grain, sacks of potatoes and onions, jars of saffron and spices, crates of soap, dye, and nails, and boxes and bags of every possible description. The remains of a few desks, their wood frames rotten and covered with mildew, lie in the middle of the floor where they fell. The few rotting and mildewed desks that remain here are piled unkindly in the center of the room.
