You slide precariously, grabbing at the scrub brush. As you look out from this vantage point, you see a vast forest as far as the eye can see. You notice a path leading north around to the side of the mountain. ~ 0 0 5 D0 A narrow and rocky path. ~ ~ 0 0 11206 D3 ~ ~ 0 0 11204 S #11206 Ledge path~ You are on the side of a sheer wall of rock. A small ledge prevents you from falling to your death. You lean out and catch a glimpse of a chasm and river below. Looking down you see a swollen river surging through the mountains. The sound issuing from the water crashing down below assaults your ears making it difficult to hear yourself think. Small fish jump out of the water occasionally but otherwise, the only motion is provided by the water itself. Looking at the falls you can hardly see though the mist created by the forces at work here. After a careful search of the area, you notice that there is a small shelf behind the falls that perhaps you could walk behind the wall of water. ~ 0 0 5 D0 Water rushes from the mountain. ~ ~ 0 0 11212 D3 ~ ~ 0 0 11209 S #11212 Behind the falls~ Light from the sun passes though a massive wall of moving water, creating a shimmering cascade of light to all within this room. After a careful search you find a boulder to the west that looks as if it has been moved before. You also notice that everything is covered in a thick green moss. ~ 0 0 4 D2 ~ ~ 0 0 11211 D3 A rather large boulder is here. ~ boulder~ 0 0 11213 E boulder~ A large rock is here, seems to be blocking a hole. ~ S #11213 Cave ~ You are at the entrance to a large cave. A steep slop leads downwards into a cavern of sorts below you and a large boulder to the east leads you out into the world above ground. You dont notice anything out of the ordinary in this place but the hair on the back of your neck stands up in silent warning of danger. ~ 0 8 0 D1 A large boulder is here. ~ boulder~ 0 0 11212 D5 ~ ~ 0 0 11216 E boulder~ A rather large boulder is here, seems to be blocking a hole. ~ S #11214 Stone Passage~ You are in a cramped tunnel, sloping downwards at a slow pitch. The floor of the tunnel is very slick with a black slime, making it very hard to maintain your footing. The walls off the passage are chard black as if burnt by a very hot fire. Ornate marble columns stand on each side of the arches, each intricatly carved with symbols and odd syliabics, on the keystone of each arch is a carved stone heads, you are sure if must have some meaning but it is not imediatly clear to you. Although they look like they have been set long ago, they are still perfectly aligned - the mark of a professional stone cutter. The walls are solid stone panels, each depicting a different battle. One that stands out among the others is that of a stout fighter standing beside a majestic black dragon, slaying a three-headed beast. One that stands out among others shows a mounted knight, swinging a mighty sword at a dragon in mid flight. The dragons breathes a blast of ice towards the knight, which meets his sword with a brilliant flash of light. There are stairs hewn from the stone of the cavern leading downwards and a passage to the east. ~ 0 8 0 D1 ~ ~ 0 0 11221 D5 ~ ~ 0 0 11223 S #11223 Stone Passage~ This corridor seems to continue forever, ice and frost cover the walls and give the stale air a decided chill. Light from very ornate lanterns held by carved stone gargoyles illuminates your way. Along each wall, stand white marble benches. You hear nothing out of the ordinary here, but the hair on your neck stands on end. The walls are are pock marked and eatten way by some sort of an acid substance. Torches affixed to the walls barely illuminate the area, and the air here is decided cooler than normal. A hallway leads off to the north. ~ 0 8 0 D0 ~ ~ 0 0 11225 D4 ~ ~ 0 0 11219 S #11227 Dead End~ You have reached a dead end in the passage. The walls are hewn stown and are covered in a pock marks as if eaten by acid. There are huge claw marks on the wall as if some large beast has been fighting here. You can leave back the way you came to the west. ~ 0 8 0 D3 ~ ~ 0 0 11225 S #11228 Huge cavern~ In the center of this huge natural cavern is a giant pool. As you look into the water, you see that it is bubbling and churning with great force. The walls of this cavern have massive stone columns supporting a huge free standing dome. The ceiling of the dome is made from what looks like translucent marble. Light shines through the ceiling, casting a shimering yellow and orange glow to all that is in this room. ~ 0 8 0 D0 ~ ~ 0 0 11275 D5 ~ ~ 0 0 11229 S #11229 Underwater in the pool~ You are in a pool of water under a circular stone cavern. The water is moving and bubbling from below. It is difficult to see much around you as you bob up and down in the water. You can leave up or down from here. ~ 0 8 7 D4 ~ ~ 0 0 11228 D5 ~ ~ 0 0 11231 S #11230 Jaragh's office~ This is a very large octagonally shaped room. Soft light illuminates the area from an unknown source. You see a large, oaken desk with papers and other unidentifiable things strewn across it in haphazard manner. There is a namplate on the desk which reads "Jaragh, Maker of Things Deadly". Also on the desk is a wire basket seperated into two sections: One with the legend "In" and another which reads "Out". There appears to be some type of cauldon with boiling brownish liquid bubbling in it. There is no way out of here. ~ 0 4|8 0 S #11231 Underwater stream~ You are in a small underwater stream. It is difficult to see anything in the water because of the utter blackness of the area. Looking closely you can just barely make out the directions that you can travel in. The current pulls you to the north but you notice that you can go west or swim upwards into a passage through the stone. ~ 0 8 7 D0 ~ ~ 0 0 11242 D3 ~ ~ 0 0 11232 D4 ~ ~ 0 0 11229 S #11232 Hole~ You notice a hole in the rock here. The current here is so strong that you have to fight with every ounce of your strength to keep from being swept up into it. You can get out of the hole, by going up, or you can go back downstream. ~ 0 8 4 D1 ~ ~ 0 0 11231 D4 ~ ~ 0 0 11233 S #11233 Underground beach~ You are standing on an underground beach. The area is littered with bones and rotting flesh, making you wonder just how safe this place it. The smell is enough to turn your stomach. You can either run retching into the water to below you or brave the smell and see what is to the north. ~ 0 8 0 D0 ~ ~ 0 0 11234 D5 ~ ~ 0 0 11232 S #11234 Serpents Lair~ You have entered a huge stone lair. The walls are splattered with dried blood and the ground is covered in rotting flesh and decomposing bones. The smell is enough to turn the stomach of the most hardy warrior. A rat runs buy with a human eyeball in its mouth and disapears into a crack in the stone wall. ~ 0 8 0 D2 ~ ~ 0 0 11233 S #11235 Lake path~ You are on a path on the side of a lake that the waterfall plummets into. Looking out over the lake, you see a low fog hanging over the cold dark water. Looking off, you see jutting peaks piercing the clouds in the distance. You notice a pair of large birds circling the peaks - very, large birds. The stiars look very secure and looking up into the tree you notice what could be small living areas built into the branches above your head. You can climb the stairs of continue off into the woods to the east. A valley lays just south of you. ~ 0 0 3 D1 ~ ~ 0 0 11246 D2 ~ ~ 0 0 11239 D4 ~ ~ 0 0 11247 S #11241 River bank~ You stand on the bank of a peaceful, lazy river. You hear the songs of loons in the distance and see small swarms of insects playing in the tall weeds. The only exit is to the west. ~ 0 0 2 D3 ~ ~ 0 0 11239 S #11242 Stream end~ Mist, created by the cold mountain water hitting the warm air of this valley makes navagation very tedious. The mist is thick enough to obscure your vision. In fact you have difficulty seeing your hands in front of your face. There is lake to the north and west from there and a small stream is barely visible to the south. ~ 0 0 2 D0 ~ ~ 0 0 11243 D2 ~ ~ 0 0 11231 D3 ~ ~ 0 0 11245 S #11243 At the Edge of a Small Lake~ Your eyes witness an idyllic scene indeed. The water here is peaceful, and clear. Fish leap from the water, occasionally disturbing the stillness, and you hear the buzz of happy insects playing in the reeds. You can leave this peace and quiet to the south, east, or west. ~ 0 0 2 D1 ~ ~ 0 0 11235 D2 ~ ~ 0 0 11242 D3 ~ ~ 0 0 11244 S #11244 Lake~ You are on a peaceful lake, the water is fairly warm to the touch and below the surface you can see a wide variety of fish swimming by. Not far off a frog croaks out its melody to the tune a wip-o-wills mornfull cry. The feeling of peace and contentment radiates from here. ~ 0 0 7 D1 ~ ~ 0 0 11243 D2 ~ ~ 0 0 11245 S #11245 Lake~ You are on the lake. The water here is fairly cool, and as you look down, you can see fish moving about beneath the water. Off in the distance, you hear the song of a single loon. The lake continues north and east. ~ 0 0 7 D0 ~ ~ 0 0 11244 D1 ~ ~ 0 0 11242 S #11246 Dense forest~ You are on the outskirts of a very dense forest. The trees are so overgrown as to obscure your view and prevent movement in any direction except west. You notice that the forest is strangely devoid of the typical noises you would expect and you give a small prayer of gratitude that you cant go any further into the eerie woods. ~ 0 0 3 D3 ~ ~ 0 0 11240 S #11247 Porch~ The stairs end at the door of a small, well-built tree house. On the porch where you are standing, you see a small chair, a hammock and a table. You notice that the house is suspended in the brances of the tree. Huge beams, pinned at the joints, allow the house to sway with the movement of the tree, yet stay level. ~ 0 8 1 D0 ~ ~ 0 0 11248 D1 ~ ~ 0 0 11249 D5 ~ ~ 0 0 11240 S #11248 Treehouse~ Wide boards make up the floor of this tree house. A small fireplace is set into the north wall, a crackling fire burning within. A small table with assorted fruits and nuts laying atop it stands in the center of the room. Small chairs are set around the table. You can leave the room to the south. ~ 0 8 1 D2 ~ ~ 0 0 11247 S #11249 Vines~ You find yourself swinging east to west on a long sagging vine. Looking to the east you see a platform you could easily jump onto. To the west, you see the porch of a treehouse, within reach. Down, is the forest floor, where large covered roots obstruct the view of the paths that weave there way around the massive trunks. ~ 0 0 9 D1 ~ ~ 0 0 11250 D3 ~ ~ 0 0 11247 S #11250 Platform in the trees~ You are standing on a platform high in the trees of the forest. Numerous thick vines hang from the trees, gently swaying in the breeze. You think you may be able to swing from them in all of the cardinal directions. ~ 0 0 3 D0 ~ ~ 0 0 11252 D1 ~ ~ 0 0 11251 D2 ~ ~ 0 0 11253 D3 ~ ~ 0 0 11249 S #11251 On a vine~ You are swinging on a thick vine hanging from a very large, obviously old tree. The forest floor is far below you. So far in fact that you don't want to think about what would happen if you let go. You can swing east or west. ~ 0 0 9 D1 ~ ~ 0 0 11255 D3 ~ ~ 0 0 11250 S #11252 On a vine~ You find yourself swinging south to north on a long, sagging vine. To the south, you see a platform easily within reach. North is a doorway to what looks like a temple. You look down and see the forest floor, obscured by a mass of gnarled moss covered roots. ~ 0 0 9 D0 A big oak door is here. ~ ~ 0 0 11254 D2 ~ ~ 0 0 11250 S #11253 A tree~ Perhaps you got a little carried away with this swinging thing. You've slammed head-first into a very large tree. Somehow you manage to retain your grip on the vine, however. Once you've recovered your bearings you can swing back to the north. ~ 0 0 3 D0 ~ ~ 0 0 11250 S #11254 Temple in the trees~ You find yourself in the upper branches of the tallest tree in the forest. Looking out over the forest, flocks of giant birds pass by you. The trunk of this tree has a large door cut into it, just to the north of you. A giant burl has stairs carved into it. Above the door are strange runes carved into the wood of the tree. ~ 0 8 3 D0 A large door has been cut here. ~ ~ 0 0 11256 D2 ~ ~ 0 0 11252 E runes~ You look at the strange runes, but are not sure of their meaning. They look neat though. ~ E runes~ Some wierd looking runes are ingraved here. ~ S #11255 A tree~ Perhaps you've gotten a little too carried away with this swinging on vines bit. You've slammed right into a very large, very solid tree. Somehow you manage to keep your grip on the vine, however. This fact puts you at ease as you look down and notice how long you'd have to fall to hit the forest floor below. Once you've recovered from your disorientation, you can go west. ~ 0 0 3 D3 ~ ~ 0 0 11251 S #11256 Temple hallway~ You enter a great hallway, whos walls are covered with intricate carvings. The ceiling is arched and adorned with carved figures, some godlike in proportion. Each figure holds a lantern in its hand, as if to guide you along. To the north you notice what looks like an altar. ~ 0 8 0 D0 ~ ~ 0 0 11257 D2 ~ ~ 0 0 11254 S #11257 Altar~ You've entered a small altar room. The room is bare with the exception of a large idol at the far end of the room. The faint scent of incense enters your nostrils, but you notice no source. The only exit is south ~ 0 8 0 D2 ~ ~ 0 0 11256 S #11258 Tree line~ Gnarled scrub brush and jutting rocks make up the unfriendly terrain here. You notice that the scrub brush starts to thin out and give way to the harsher climate above tree line. To the east you look out over a large glacier set between two mountains.
