Large cornstalks for as far as the eye can see tower omniously here,
swaying back and forth with the wind in an almost trancelike fashion.
Occasionally the scampering of small animals can be heard, and the
unsettling of a few branches as predators stalk their prey.

distant noises of crickets buzzing is everpresent. Small animals are seen
everywhere, playing, eating and making cute little noises.

a dense foliage. The ground is dry, and the aroma of freshly harvested corn
is in the air. The cornstalks that populate this field seem to never end,
swaying as one in the wind.

The crude path continues to the north, though it seems to become more
difficult to traverse with every step. The large cornstalks move with a life
of their own, swaying with the wind, hampering travellers from moving freely
throughout their field.

parts, and the sky always seems to be dark. Cornstalks spread out in every
direction, but the musky scent of plague and death fills the air.

predators or stalking prey. The scent of dead carcasses fills the air, the
corpses hidden from sight by the seemingly never-ending cornstalks.

Vines burden the path with plantlife. The vines, seven or eight 
inches thick, entangle what little path is left. A scarecrow 
stands tall to the right of the path, but is almost completely 
covered in leeching creeper. His deformed face would surely keep
crows out of the vicinity.

Among the cornstalks, small rodents scurry around, battling for 
the ears of corn that have fallen to the ground. Mosquitos and 
horseflies buzz around the carcass of a deceased jackrabbit. Small
mole holes can be seen on the path. A mole which was once staring
at the dead jackrabbit scurries back into his hole.

The high city walls disappear from sight. Dozens of birds chirp 
in harmony from the direction of the city. The path to the west 
houses more dense undergrowth than the northward path. In fact,
directly to the west stands a small house, undoubtedly the home 
of the farmer whom owns this expansive property.

The proximity of the cornstalks is stifling. The arm-like 
branches with skin-tearing claws reach out to grab any whom are 
caught trespassing in her fields. The path becomes smaller and 
smaller as the stalks close in more and more. One particularly
varicose vine extends lengthwise down the path.

Entering a cornfield~
The cornstalks leer over the well-trodden, yellowed path as if 
the path itself was a tunnel. Near the bottom of the stalks, 
tiny chunks have been gnawed off. Several fallen stalks of corn 
litter the track. The corn from these now-dead stalks is long gone.

This part of the field has been neatly harvested, with stacks of hay
placed in circular patterns around the field. Small animals can be seen
running across the now bare field, some of which have taken up homes in the
haystacks themselves.

The endless fields of corn stand but a few feet away from the gates of Ri'on Dashor. The steel walls of the city showcase a continuous strip of gold to show the city's power and wealth. The thick cornstalks are nearly six feet high and continue on into the horizon.
