A sturdy fence of dark metal stands to the south, separating the
graveyard from the rest of the city. A tall gravestone catches your eye,
flowers placed all around it. It seems as though someone comes by regularly

minor noble. One grave in particular seems to have acquired a large

The grass here grows longer than to the east, and few of the graves here

simply age, and several weeds have sprung up to choke the flowers planted
long ago by the friends and families of the dead buried here.

Walking Among the Graves~
A large mausoleum stands to the north, nestled among the trees, its thick
stone beginning to crumble in places. A cold chill seems to seep from its
doors, and an irrational, almost overwhelming sense of dread fills you
whenever your eyes fall upon the dark entrance. The graves here appear to
be neglected, most of them beginning to fall apart, the words once etched
upon them unreadable.

Inside the Mausoleum~
Faint torchlight illuminates a macabre scene. Blood has been smeared
everywhere, covering the walls and floors, as if there has been a struggle
here recently. The corpse of a middle-aged man lies at your feet, face
frozen in a terrible snarl. Strange symbols have been scrawled across the
wall, written in blood. The stench of death and decay is almost
overwhelming here, and the dark corners of the room that the torchlight
cannot reach feel as though they are hiding unseen eyes, watching your every
move.

The crumbling stones and statues and the overgrown grass and weeds give
this section of the graveyard a lonely, empty feel. The air here is
inexplicably cold, the wind carrying a strong scent of decay, along with the

The air here is unnaturally cold, though the wind has vanished. The only

The darkness inside the mausoleum is oppressively thick. It seems that
no amount of light can truly dispel it. Every shadow dispeled by the light
is replaced by another, and the sense of being watched from beyond the

once used to house dead members of Caerlon's nobility, though it appears
that whatever riches were buried with the corpse have been stolen long ago.

This mausoleum is even smaller on the inside than it appears from

is as fresh as a spring day outdoors. Small steps lead back up to the base
