Inlet to the Harbor~
The Dragon Sea starts to narrow into a long channel which leads into
Freeport Harbor.  A large building that stretches over the channel, bearing
the mark of Freeport, lies further ahead.  A small walking path runs
parallel to the channel for the locals to stroll along.  Small shapes swim
under the surface of the water, bobbing up once in a while to nibble on
bugs.

Freeport Harbor Security Checkpoint~
A large formal building towers over the channel, with a rope ladder
leading down to a small dock along side the bank.  A large window facing
toward the Dragon Sea allows the guards to watch all incoming ships.  As
your vessel reaches the perimeter, a voice echoes down from above.

Inside the Security Building~
A large room with doorways to the north and south greets you.  The large
window you saw below allows fresh air and natural light to fill the room,
making it seem more peaceful.  Several people rush about, delivering
messages and assisting the guards.  A large map on the far walls shows the
layout of the harbor and locations of the various docking areas within.

Captain of the Guard's Quarters~
Although the space is limited, it is well utilized.  A small desk sits in
one corner while a small storage unit takes up most of the opposite wall.  A
small sofa faces the door with a stained-glass coffee table in front of it.

Freeport Channel~
Ships of all sizes and types navigate the channel along with you, some
heading into port while other head out to the open sea.  Several of the
local boys sit along the bank, fishing or playing in the shallows.  Further
up the channel, it widens into a huge harbor filled with ships and many
docks of various sizes.

Mouth of the Harbor~
The channel opens out into a large body of water, protected from the
savages of the open seas.  There are channel markers leading east with small
glowing balls, green on one side and red on the other.  Further up the
channel, you can make out large areas of docks, separated based on the size
of the ships they will be used for.

In the Channel~
The channel braches off to the north here, leading to a series of small
docks for sailboats and fishing vessels.  A large building can be seen on
the shore, which appears to have a large crowd around it, milling about in
waiting.  Several flocks of seagulls circle the building and the various
fishing ships as they dock, hoping for a free meal.

The Fishing Docks~
Although most of the docked ships belong to local fisherman, therefore
being rather small, there is one large ship floating in the water near the
building.  Large nets hang over the sides and back of the large fishing
vessel, and a few crewmembers wander the deck.  A small path leads toward to
town to Freeport to the east.

Main Deck of the Alaxis~
Crew members of various ages run around, cleaning the ship or making sure
the nets are secured.  On either side of the main deck, huge nets dangle of
the water, waiting to be filled with fish.  The scent of fish hangs heavy in
the air, making you slightly nauseous.  You appear able to move free about
the ship, if you care to explore it more fully.

Climbing the Mast~
Halfway up the mast, your path is blocked by large pulley systems that
seem to operate the large nets hanging over the sides.  From this viewpoint,
you can see many other ship docked further along the shore.  At the front of
the ship, a large door leads down into a dark hole while the aft of the
vessels houses the crews living quarters.

Bow of the Alaxis~
Small piles of dead fish sit scattered about the bow of the ship and the
smell is over-powering.  A large opening leads down into the bowels of the
ship; most likely where they store the fish they catch while at sea. 
Perched upon the very front of the bow is an ornate carving in the shape of
a naked woman, blessing the waters ahead and protecting the ship.

Fish Storage Hold~
This room is most unusual in the fact that the floor, walls and ceiling
are covered in a deep {ggreen{x moss.  Large blocks of ice are scattered
throughout the area and the room is remarkably cool, considering the weather
outside.  There are large piles of fish everywhere, and the floor is almost
impossible to see through all the fish.

Main Deck of the Alaxis~

the main deck.  A ladder leads upward into the area above, while a hatch

Bridge of the Alaxis~

X's being used to show good fishing locations.

Oak Lined Passageway~
Fine oak planks line the passage as it leads toward the crew quarters. 
Doors are located to the east and west and while a fancy door lies at the
northern end of the corridor.  Small lanterns line the walls filling the
area with a soft and relaxing light.  The aroma of roasted meat drifts from
the southern end of the passage.

Oak Lined Passageway~
The passage ends at a swinging door with a small window in it.  Peering
through the pane, you see a large cooking area with many pans on it.  A
locked door to the east is marked as "Storage" while an opening leads

kitchen as a load crashing echoes down the hall.

The Galley~
Several large stoves and a fire pit fill the room.  A large man is
running around stirring pots and tasting various sauces.  Several shelves
are lined with jar filled with pickled meats and eggs while a large
container holds wheat for making bread.  Pots hang from a large beam above
your head and silverware is scattered all over a nearby table, waiting to be
washed.

Storage Room~
This room is stuffed full of extra everything from food to bedding. 
Shelves are lined with spare pillows, sheets and blankets; while several
large open-faced cabinets are filled with swords, axes and spears.  A few
large containers hold wheat flour and several days' worth of extra water,
for the long trips at sea.  Several jars sit on the far shelves filled with
oil for the many lamps that lines the halls of the ship.

The lamps cast a flicking light upon the three doors located at the end

A rather plush room, considering it is on a ship, with a soft carpet and

sit on the pillow of the bed, it appears to be the ships log.

The decks narrow into a balcony that hangs over the end of the ship, with
nothing but the waters of the harbor below you.  A tall railing has been
placed along the outer rim of the balcony to prevent an accidental fall over
into the icy waters below.  A large swinging lantern dangles from the
railing, alerting ship that may come from behind of the ships presence.

In the Channel~
The waterway continues past several large yachts, which are deserted, and
leads toward a large outcropping of land due east.  To the south lies a very
large ship with a black flag bearing the dreaded {WSKULLS{x and {WCROSSBONES{x of
the Pirates.  A small school of flying fish dart and soar out of the water,
creating ripples around your craft.

Private Dock~
Not so much as a dock, but a floating area of wood for a skiff to tie up
to.  A long rope ladder dangles from above leading on to the deck of the
pirate vessel.  The sound of voices can be heard from above, and they don't

northward toward the safety of the main channel.

Main Deck of the Mourning Star~
Just standing on this deck makes you feel special yet foolish all at the
same time, considering what you have heard about pirates.  The ship appears
to be appears to be about eighty feet across and over four hundred feet long
and has three sailing masts.  A very long rope leads upward to a
bucket-looking thing located at the top of the tallest mast.

Aft-Midsection of the Mourning Star~
A large closed hatch takes up most of the space in this area of the ship,
although a long wooden plank extends out of the water to the north.  A
couple of rough looking characters wander around the deck, cleaning and
polishing the wood to a brilliant shine.  A series of long poles appears to
be located at the aft end of the ship, just to the west.

Several of the crew have set up a row of fishing lines, which hang over
the back of the ship.  A large iron chain is would a huge wooden spindle,
which has a huge steel anchor attached to it.  A large plaque on the
outfacing boards reads "Mourning Star" engraved on a bright bronze plate.

Walking the Plank~
Having angered the pirates, you now get the privileged view from the
dreaded {Dplank{x.  The easiest way off is down into the dark shark infected
water below, not really the safest thing to do.  If you wish to try your

Foreword-Midsection of the Mourning Star~
The deck is highly polished and small cabin boy runs around with a cloth

ship, it seems oddly out of place on this rough pirate ship.

snarling demon mounted at the front, an omen used to frighten merchant
vessels into surrendering.  A large anchor hangs over the side, keeping the
ship in place while in the harbor.

Between the Holds~
A lone torch burns at the end of the corridor, casting strange shadows on
the golden panels of the walls.  Two massive sliding doors are to the north
and south, each with a large turning lock on them.  The sound of muffled

Northern Hold~
As you enter the hold, the smell of filth and wild animals fills your
nose.  Cages line the walls and are stacked three or four high, with board
separating each layer from the one above and below it.  Several of the
bottom cages seem to be linked together, creating a larger space for the
animals to wander about in.  A long trough is filled with feed, which runs
parallel to the cages, so they may eat at will.

Southern Hold~
This hold is filled from floor to ceiling with crates and barrel from
plundered merchant ships.  There are also several chests, locked with a huge
padlock, in the middle of the floor while a snoring guard sits next to them.

The Animal Cages~
Straw covers the floor of the cage and a large bowl in one corner is
filled with water for the occupant of the cage.  The smell of fetus and
urine is evident, although not potent.  A large pile of rags and torn furs
lies in the middle of the room, most likely the bed of the animal living
here now.  There is a small door leading north to yet another cage while to
the south is the exit back into the main hold.

Unlike the first cage, this one is barren save for a large tree branch
lying in the middle of the floor and large mats of grass surrounding it.  It
seems as if a slight wind blows through the grass, although you don't seem
to feel it.  A large animal lies dead in one corner, still fresh and safe to
eat.

Landing with a splash, you start trending water to keep from sinking. 
Dark shapes can be seen swimming towards, with a fin breaking the water
surface.  There is no way to reboard the ship and the shapes seem to keep

In the Channel~
The waterway continues to lead east toward a large outcropping of land
which stretches in the channel.  A series of floating buoys string along out
past the point of rock, marking the border of the Harbor Patrols.  A small
raft floats along side of you, just big enough for three passengers and their
catches.  A large light can be seen burning on the rocky point.

Lookout Point~
Rocky shores greet the crashing waves of this isolated point of land. 
The only sign of life is a burning fire to the north, nestled behind a

Lookout Point Bonfire~
A massive fire burning is here, burning so brightly you must shield your
eyes.  A large pile of wood sits off to one side, ready to be burned for the
coming nights and days.  A small makeshift camp has been setup, complete
with cooking area and a sleep roll.  A soulful call echoes off the nearby
boulders, sending a chill down your spine.

Border of Freeport Harbor~
The harbor is met with a large river which seems to flow out of the land
to east.  A large ship sits anchored  just to the south of the massive
river delta.  A line of floating bouys marking the bountry of the Freeport

Freeport Harbor River Delta~
The wide and deep channel of the harbor leads into a sightly marshy area
leading eastward.  Large stalks of plants seem to grow from the very bottom
of the river floor, towering over you.  The river seems to flow downward
into a deep canyon to the east, or you can head back to the safety of the
harbor to the west.

Floating Alongside the Plenipo~
A huge merhcant ship, the Plenipo, rests right next to you.  A long rope
ladder dangles down from the deck, several giants heads above you, waiting

and beyond....  Who know what kind of treasure they may have found to sell
you.

Main Deck of the Phenipo~
The deck is clean and tidy, leading east and west, toward shops and small
stands set-up along the way.  The sounds of trading can be heard from the

signaling a good time to set sail, if needed.

Walking Along the Promenade~
A gentle breeze blows in off the harbor, putting a slight salty smell in

Full suit of body armor line the walls, and various parts rest on shelves
or hang from the ceiling.  Several cases line the back of the store, each
filled with rare and exotic pieces of armor from great warrior and smiths
alike.  A small noisy monkey runs about the store, chatting up a storm when
ever somebody gets to close to the door without paying for something.

Objects of Mystery and Magik~
Objects of various kinds fill the store, almost as if you have stumbled
upon Zsuzsu secret workshop.  Wands, staff, vials, scrolls, rings and many
more fill the cases that threathen to overflow out onto deck.  A faint scent
of magik fills the air and a sense of amazement surrounds most of the
"mudane" items.

Weapons of the Unknown~
Exotic weapons of all kinds, as well as normal looking sword, daggers and
axes line the walls of this small shop.  There are no cases filled with
objects but everything hangs from the walls or ceiling.  A slender looking
drow stands in one corner, hands resting on a Katana which hangs from his
side; it would be unwise to attempt to steal from this shopkeeper.

Crew's Passages~
The dim light from above is the only way to view the surrounding area. 
The passage leads north toward a set of door that line the hallway.  A small
boy rushes around in frantic circles, looking for an item on the ground.

Corridor to the Storage Holds~
Dim burning candles puff small clouds of black smoke into the cramped
corridor.  Several doors line either side of the passages, although they are
all locked.  A large burly dwarf stands at the end of the corridor and seems
rather unhappy to see you here.

Dark Passageway~
The passage ends at a large door, with two more on either side of the
passage.  A small note on the main door, northward, reads: No Entry, under
theeat of {RDEATH{x.  There are various sound coming from the east and west
doors, although it is hard to tell what they are.

An Empty Room~
Nothing.....  That is what occupies this room.  There is no table, chairs

Ships Crews Quarters~
A large room with a large overheard lamp greets your eyes.  A large table
sits in the center of the room, surrounded by six chairs.  A smaller room,
shrouded in darkness, lies to the north; from which snoring can be heard.  A
large pot of stew hangs over a fair-sized fire in one corner while a small
sink and water basin rest on the other side.

Officers Dining Hall~
A long table, set for six, takes up the center of the room.  Each place
setting has fine china and polished silverware.  Gleaming cystal glass
complete the settings.  A large roasted pig, its mouth stuffed with a large
red apple, sit steaming in the table; waiting for the dinner bell.

Ship Crew Sleeping Area~
Bunk beds line both side of the room, each with a small chest located at
the end of each.  The only light is from the main room to the south, making
this room very dim and it is hard to make out much without your own light. 
There are several large shape in some of the bed, indicating they are being
used.

Secret Passage~
A large passage way leads westward into the deeper bowels of the ship. 
There is a lingering odor of sweat and blood in the air, which seem to
intentisfy further west as well.  There is a faint sound echoing along the
wooden walls of the passage, but you are unable to make out any of the
words.

Captians Secret Chambers~
A large chest sits in the center of the small square room.  A bright
glowing ball of light hovers over the chest, filling the room with a bright,
almost blinding, light.  There are no other objects to be seen, and it seems
the lights pulsates the closer you get to it.

Main Storage Hold~
It seems the merchant have a lot of trust in each other, as they all
share one big storage area for thier items.  There are piles of scroll,
weapons, armor, staffs and potions scattered through the room; which is
quite large.  A lone guard; the big scary looking dwarf, patrols the hold
making sure nothing is taken out unless aprroved by the captain.

Freeport River~
A large river flows eastward, out of the harbor and into a land of rock
and desolation.  A few lone rapids quickly decend you into a large canyon,
wiht great walls rising to heights above you.  To the east, the river
continues to rush over boulders and leads you deeper into the canyon floor;
or you may try and head west to the soothing harbor.

Freeport River~
Life seems to becoming more and more sparse as you continue eastward
along the rapidly flowing river.  You can hear a faint, although getting
louder, rumbling noise; as if a great waterfall awaits you around the next
bend.  Several large vultures soar over head, as if waiting for thier next
meal; knowing something you do not.

Split in the River~
The river suddenly splits off, with the main river flowing eastward and a
small branch heading northward.  A faint winds blows from the east, with a
odor of death and decay within it.  A sudden howling makes you wonder in
your sanity to remaining to this course of action.

Freeport River~
The river, although still quite large and powerful, seems to be getting
shallower the further east you go.  You also notice that the amount of fish
and other waterlife has also gotten sparse.  Plants are turning brown and
wilted and the scent of decay grows ever stonger, making your stomach churn
in sickness.

A Secluded Cove~
A small hidden cove is nestled in a large rock formation.  There appears
to be no exit, other then to the south from which you came; although a small
cave can be seen on the western bank.  A small skiff is tied up at a dock,
just outside the cave, indicating that somebody must live there.  A few
small animals wander along the banks, foraging for food.

Freeport River~
The river has dropped in water level rapidly and this is as far as you
can go on a boat.  Although it continues to the east, it is only a small and
shallow stream; which can be walked along, not in.  As you peer further
eastward, you think you can make out beings riding along on horseback, but
you can not be sure.

Deserted River Delta~
The stream has vanished into a deep hole leading to depths unknown;
however you can not follow as the hole is quite small.  The now dry river
bed continues east, toward a once great rivers headwater, making you wonder
how such a place has ruin two great river in such a quick time.  A scream
echos along the great rocks, making your blood chill slighty, despite the
great heat.

A Dark Cave~
The cave is quite small, as it appeared to be from outside.  A small
firepit glows weakly, not giving off enough light to really see by.  A dead
deer hangs from the ceiling, still being skined and dried.  A rope has been
tied off to a large iron ring, then dropped into a large hole on the far
side of the cave.  There is a faint echoing of voices coming from down the
hole, but you can't make out what they are saying.

Decending into the Hole~
The hole while dark is well designed for allowing rapid decent; with foot
holds chisled into the rock for use along with the rope.  Along with the
voices from below, the sound of splashing water can also be heard, as if
lapping up against a ship of pier.  The light from above is getting quite
faint and there is no visable light to be seen from below.

Decending Deeper into the Hole~
Suddenly the rope is not there, and you have a sickening feeling as you
slip and fall down the rest of the shaft.  You land with a splash in a small
pool of water, striking you head on a long rock and as you slip into a
forced sleep, you feel your body rushed along a small underground river,
leading deeper into the earth.

Wheel House~
A small sheltered area houses the largest wheel you have ever seen, used
to steer the ship while at sea.  It spans almost 6 feet across and has
handles all along the outer rim; and it shines brightly as if glowing with
some inner magic.  A loud bellowing can be heard from the far corner.

Walking the Wastelands~
The desert seems to get drier the further into the drifting sands you go.
What little life did exisist near the riverway has all be vanished, much
like your desire to continue upon this path.  The gentle lapping of the life
giving river can be heard from the north, and to the south lies nothing but
death and desert.

The Fabled Caves of Ancient Death~
Towering pillars of carved stone fill the ancient caves which seems to
lead downward into a deeper and less transformed section of the cave system.
The many torches that line the walls throw sparkling lights, which bounces
off the mounds of gold and gems that seem to fill the room.  A small voice
in your heads heeds that although no guard is visable; one must be about
somewhere.

Deeper into the Caverns~
The polished walls and shined stone has started to fade, the further into
the caves you go.  A few torchs burn, not really giving off enough light to
see by, but more to point the way deeper into the earth.  A faint hissing
noise can be heard from the east, as if a giant breath of air was being
released.

A Rough Earthern Passageway~
The passage has turned into a dark and rubble-covered dirt path.  Small roots stick out from the ceiling, while other grow from the floor attempting to trip you up.  Ahead you can make out a small light and the rushing of hot air is getting more intense.

Lair of the {CSilver{x Dragon~
You have stumbled into a large cavern, carved right out of the earth. 
The floor, walls and ceiling are smooth as silk and have a brilliant
mirror-like shine to them.  Resting in the middle of the chamber lies an
ancient dragon, snoring loudly as hot air rushs out with each exhale.  A
large mound of treasure and gold lies below the dragons great armored
scales, just out of your reach.
