On the wall are a set of rungs that can be used as a ladder and lead to the man hole that will lead you out of the sewers. A certain stench hangs in the damp air, and the sound of running water is a constant that can not be avoided. Some &Cpuddles&g of water have formed on the ground, and odd noises echo from the walls. ~ 0 524 13 D1 ~ ~ 0 -1 5549 D3 ~ ~ 0 -1 5501 D4 ~ grate~ 1 -1 9001 E puddle puddles~ The puddle is dark and dank, and doesn't look entirely healthy. You think you can barely make out small ripples on the surface every once in a while, and you wonder what could possibly be causing it. ~ S #5501 Interesting Intersection~ The sewer seems to strech on for miles, with various side passages evident every few feet. The stench alternates between almost bearable and completely overwhelming, seemingly at random. In this particular stretch of sewer you can see some larger side tunnels which might lead you to something a bit more interesting than what you've seen thus far. ~ 0 520 13 D1 ~ ~ 0 -1 5500 D3 ~ ~ 0 -1 5502 D7 ~ ~ 0 -1 5507 D9 ~ ~ 0 -1 5505 S #5502 Less Smelly Sewer Tunnel~ This strech of sewer looks just like the last strech of sewer. Actually, they all pretty much look the same. Small outlet pipes dump sewage into channels which then lead to the main flow of &Bwater&g that runs down the middle of the tunnel. The stench here isn't quite as bad as in other sections, but it's still not some place you'd want to live. ~ 0 520 13 D1 ~ ~ 0 -1 5501 D3 ~ ~ 0 -1 5503 E water~ The water boils and bubbles, for no apparent reason. It also gives off a bit of a noisome stench. Patches of &Ggreen&g moss-like growths float at various points in the middle of the tunnel, and the smell here is a bit worse than in other parts of the sewer. ~ 0 520 13 D1 ~ ~ 0 -1 5502 D3 ~ ~ 0 -1 5504 E moss green~ This green moss-like substance seems to almost crawl with a life of its own. You could swear it just made a face at you.... ~ S #5504 Gator Suprise!~ The sewer tunnel seems to have come to a dead end. There's a pipe on the west wall, dripping a nasty-looking ooze, but it's way too small for anyone to go through. The odd noises seem to be a bit louder here, while the smell isn't quite as bad. ~ 0 520 13 D1 ~ ~ 0 -1 5503 S #5505 Small Side Tunnel~ This is a small side tunnel off the main sewer tunnel. There is something floating in the water, but it's difficult to make out what it is without getting a bit closer. Most of these objects seem to be floating on the surface of the water, but a few of them sink never to be seen again. ~ 0 8 13 D0 ~ ~ 0 -1 5505 E objects~ The objects floating in the water look to be syringes, IV bags, gauze and various other items that would be used in a hospital. Perhaps someone is just dumping their hazardous materials right down the drain? ~ S #5507 Glowing Sewer Tunnel Junction~ This sewer tunnel isn't quite as large of the main tunnel, but it is larger than some of the various side branches in this system. The stench is worse here than in the main tunnel, and the water has a faint green luminescence. ~ 0 520 13 D0 ~ ~ 0 -1 5508 D1 ~ ~ 0 -1 5510 D3 ~ ~ 0 -1 5509 D8 ~ ~ 0 -1 5501 S #5508 A Nest of Rodents~ This is a dead end in the sewer system, with pipes of various sizes set into the walls. Unlike most of the other pipes down here, these are stuffed full of all manner of things, from straw to gauze to packed mud and beyond. The gunk clogging up the pipes doesn't look like it was a result of what came from above, though. ~ 0 8 13 D2 ~ ~ 0 -1 5507 S #5509 Glowing Dead End~ The sewers end here, with no visible exits other than back into the tunnel. Pipe of various sizes stick out of the walls and deposit their filthy contents into channels which flow into the river of sewage that runs down the center of the tunnel. The moss on the walls glows with an odd &Ggreen&g light. ~ 0 520 13 D1 ~ ~ 0 -1 5507 E moss green~ Other than the fact that this moss glows with an odd green light, it looks completely natural. ~ S #5510 Sewer Tunnel~ This sewer tunnel smells horrible and the water glows with an eerie green light. Some of the pipes which feed the water running down the main channel have become clogged with some noxious goo. ~ 0 520 13 D1 ~ ~ 0 -1 5511 D3 ~ ~ 0 -1 5507 E goo pipes~ This goo glows with a faint green light and has a very thick viscosity. ~ S #5511 Noxious Sewer Tunnel~ The stench here is reminiscent of decaying flesh mixed with burning hair mixed with human waste. The problem is that the smell is almost so thick that you can just about see it, too! Nearly every feed pipe is clogged to some extent, and what looks like either mold or moss is growing on just about every surface. ~ 0 520 13 D1 ~ ~ 0 -1 5513 D3 ~ ~ 0 -1 5511 S #5513 Access Room~ The main water flow goes through a large grate set in the eastern wall. There are very few feed pipes in here, and the few there are look to be clogged up with some nasty green slime. The sewer tunnel stretches off to the west, and a small acess door is in the east wall. ~ 0 520 13 D1 ~ ~ 1 -1 5514 D3 ~ ~ 0 -1 5512 E slime nasty green~ This stuff is gunking up the pipes and making it so that the best water flow is little more than a weak trickle. ~ S #5514 Sewage Treatment Room~ This room is huge and smells horrible. It looks like this is where a good chunk of the sewer water is treated before it's sent further along in its journey. You can see a catwalk running around the room, above the level of the water, as well as a rusty metal ladder leading up to a small room. ~ 0 8 13 D0 ~ ~ 3 -1 5516 D3 ~ ~ 3 -1 5513 D4 ~ ~ 0 -1 5515 E catwalk~ The catwalk runs around the perimeter of the room and looks to be not only rusty, but also rickety. Various panels and monitors blink and flash, and a soothing humming comes from the banks of computers set against the east wall. The floor looks to be made of metal grating, and there are two large windows set in the west wall to allow those in here to see into the treatment plant below. ~ 0 520 13 D3 ~ ~ 33554432 -1 5514 D5 ~ ~ 0 -1 5514 E panels~ There are all sorts of toggle switches and push buttons on the panels. It doesn't smell quite as bad, here as it has in the rest of the sewer, but the water still has an odd colored sheen to it. ~ 0 520 13 D0 ~ ~ 0 -1 5517 D2 ~ ~ 1 -1 5514 S #5517 Soggy Intersection~ The water here has overflowed the bounds of the channel and it's difficult to walk anywhere without getting wet. A slight breeze wafts from somewhere, and the smell is almost bearable. About the only oddity is the fact that the water has a bit of a greenish glow to it. ~ 0 520 13 D2 ~ ~ 0 -1 5516 D6 ~ ~ 0 -1 5518 D7 ~ ~ 0 -1 5522 S #5518 Passable Sewer Tunnel~ A light breeze stirs the dankness in here, and the water seems to flow a little more clearly than elsewhere. The feed pipes look to be in pretty good condition, and there's barely a sewage stench in here at all. A faint green glow helps throw some light in the tunnel. ~ 0 520 13 D1 ~ ~ 0 -1 5519 D9 ~ ~ 0 -1 5517 E pipes~ These pipes look to be in great repair. Unlike most of the other feed pipes down here, they show no signs of rust, and the water that flows from them looks clean and almost has a flowery scent to it. ~ S #5519 A Gentle Breeze~ Vents set in the ceiling of the tunnel emit a crisp, clean-smelling breeze. The water in the central channel is clear and sparkling, and emits an almost happy tinkle as it runs its course. A faint greenish glow permeates the whole tunnel and a hint of flowers hangs in the air. ~ 0 8 13 D1 ~ ~ 0 -1 5520 D3 ~ ~ 0 -1 5518 E vents~ These vents are covered with shining steel covers and let a fresh, crisp breeze into the tunnel. ~ S #5520 Flowery Dead End~ The sewer tunnel ends here in a mound of flowers. There are &Bblue&g ones and &Rred&g ones and even &Yyellow&g ones. The air is filled with their scent and the water is crystal clear. In fact, the water continues to flow through this room, even though there's no apparent exit, since the channel is blocked by the large &Omound&g of flowers. ~ 0 520 13 D3 ~ ~ 0 -1 5519 E flowers~ These flowers are all small and delicate looking. They emit a smell that soothes and relaxes the soul. ~ E mound~ The mound looks very out of place. It is decorated with pretty flowers and seems to just swallow the flow of water. Flowers have sprung up in several small mounds of dirt, and the sounds of the tiny fountain help add to the relaxing nature of the room. ~ 0 2098188 13 D3 ~ ~ 0 -1 5520 S #5522 Mossy Tunnel~ The air is damp and stuffy here, and moss seems to be growing on just about every surface on which it can get a foothold. A faint smell lingers in the air but there's not enough of it to determine what it is. The water in the channel looks a bit muddy. ~ 0 520 13 D3 ~ ~ 0 -1 5523 D8 ~ ~ 0 -1 5517 S #5523 Dark Tunnel~ Moss has overgrown everything here, cutting off what little light was being provided by the bulbs set overhead. The ground is slippery from the water that's gotten onto the moss, and the sewage smell is mingled with something else to create an odd, unpleasant odor. ~ 0 520 13 D1 ~ ~ 0 -1 5522 D3 ~ ~ 0 -1 5524 E moss~ This moss looks be to thriving in this damp, dark environment. It seems to give off a faint green light, but other than that it's pretty plain and unremarkable. ~ S #5524 Aromatic Tunnel~ Instead of the normal sewage smell, this tunnel is filled with the smell of cooking food. There is nothing in sight to imply that there actually is any food nearby, but the smell is unmistakable. The feed pipes here are somewhat clogged with moss, and the water in the channel is dank and dark. ~ 0 520 13 D1 ~ ~ 0 -1 5523 D3 ~ ~ 0 -1 5525 E water~ As you look at the water some &Cbubbles&D come to the surface. What could that possibly be? ~ S #5525 Four-Way Intersection~ Four tunnels, going in the cardinal directions, meet here. The water seems to flow in from the east and out to the south, west and north. What determines how the water gets routed to one of the three locations doesn't seem to be apparent, but somehow it all works out. ~ 0 520 13 D0 ~ ~ 0 -1 5541 D1 ~ ~ 0 -1 5524 D2 ~ ~ 0 -1 5526 D3 ~ ~ 0 -1 5527 S #5526 Debris-strewn Mound~ The sewer tunnel comes to a dead end here, but the southern part of the tunnel is a built up mound of dirt and debris. The water in the channel runs up to the mound but seems to stop there. A strange hissing noise can be heard throughout the room, but it's difficult to determine the location of the source. ~ 0 8 1 D0 ~ ~ 0 -1 5525 E mound~ Upon further examination, various holes mar the surface. The water is still and stagnant, nothing flows out of the feed pipes, nothing drips, not even the scurring of little feet can be heard. It's enough to make one want to scream. The sewer tunnel ends in a heap of rubble, as if a cave-in happened at some point. There's also a dark hole in the floor, probably caused by the same cave-in, into which some of the water flows. ~ 0 520 13 D1 ~ ~ 0 -1 5527 D5 ~ ~ 0 -1 5529 E rubble heap~ This looks to be a combination of support pillars and ceiling slabs. It's hard to tell, but the rubble could be blocking what used to be a continuation of this particular sewer tunnel. ~ S #5529 Nautral Tunnel Entrance~ This looks to be the entrance to a natural system of caves. Oddly enough, this area seems to be a bit on the roomy side, and would probably allow several people to travel through it abreast. Water drips from an opening that leads up, and the faint sound of metal on metal can be heard from deeper within the cave system. ~ 0 2097160 13 D3 ~ ~ 0 -1 5530 D4 ~ ~ 0 -1 5528 S #5530 Chilly Cave~ A &Ccold&g breeze flows through this natural cavern and small &Wic&Cicl&Wes&g have even started to form on some of the stalagtites. A thin layer of what looks to be &Wsnow&g covers the floor, and some footprints cut through the cavern and run off to the south. The northern end of the cavern looks to have less in the way of ice and snow compared to the southern end. A small, tube-like tunnel is set low in the northern wall. ~ 0 2097160 13 D0 ~ ~ 0 -1 5540 D1 ~ ~ 0 -1 5529 D2 ~ ~ 0 -1 5531 D3 ~ ~ 0 -1 5533 E footprints~ These footprints look to be about human-sized and appear to have been made by booted feet. ~ E icicles~ These icicles range in length from a few centimeters to almost a meter long. There doesn't appear to be any source of water which would account for their being here, though. ~ S #5531 Cavern With A Surprise!~ The natural cavern looks like it, at one time, ended here. Someone, or something, has carved an addition out of the living stone to the east, however. Sparks of light and odd sounds emanate from the addition. ~ 0 8 13 D0 ~ ~ 0 -1 5530 D1 ~ ~ 0 -1 5532 S #5532 Jumbled Workshop~ The living stone has been carved into a rough cube here and made into what looks to be a workshop for someone who likes to dabble in all things electronic. A grate is set in the floor, flourescent lights hang from the ceiling, and all manner of objects lie strewn about the room. ~ 0 8 13 D3 ~ ~ 0 -1 5531 E grate~ This grate is made of a silvery metal and shows no signs of oxidation. The sound of running water can be heard from it, but nothing can be seen when examined closely. ~ E flourescent lights~ These look like your standard flourescent lights. They hang from the ceiling and provice very good illumination. ~ S #5533 Icy Crossing~ Ice covers the cavern floor here and icicles hang from just about every stalagtite in sight. The air is chilly and dry and a sense of foreboding surrounds you. The passage through the cavern splits three ways: north, west and east. The icy build up seems to be the greatest to the west. ~ 0 2097160 13 D0 ~ ~ 0 -1 5537 D1 ~ ~ 0 -1 5530 D3 ~ ~ 0 -1 5534 E icicles stalagtites~ Just about every stalagtite in sight has a meter-long icicle hanging from it. Every once in a while you hear a crack and assume it's an icicle breaking free as its weight becomes too much for it to hold. ~ S #5534 The Freezer~ The entirety of this cavern, floor, ceiling, walls, stalagtites and stalagmites, is covered in ice. The air is downright frigid, a breeze is blowing from parts unknown, and unless you're dressed well or grew up somewhere &Wvery&g cold, you probably don't want to stay here for very long. A section of the cavern wall, to the south, looks odd compared to the rest of the cavern. ~ 0 2097160 13 D1 ~ ~ 0 -1 5533 D2 ~ ~ 39 5500 5535 S #5535 Chilly Antechamber~ This is a spacious metal-clad room that has a bit of a chill to it. To the north is a large metal door and to the south is an open archway. The floor here is made of a metal grate set over what looks to be a sheet of ice. Various lights blink on the walls and light panels are set in the ceiling. ~ 0 2097160 13 D0 ~ ~ 33 5500 5534 D2 ~ ~ 0 -1 5536 S #5536 Mad Scientist's Lab~ This room is huge. It looks to be clad entirely in metal, with several sets of catwalks running around the perimeter at various levels. Light panels are set in the ceiling, high above you, as well as in the walls. Several large tables and mainframe-style computers sit in various locations about the room as well as the parts of what look to be various robots. ~ 0 2097160 13 D0 ~ ~ 0 -1 5535 E catwalk catwalks~ These catwalks wander around the perimeter of the room with various sets of either ladders or staircases leading from one to another. It looks like there are about 6 sets, each spaced about 4 meters higher than the one below it, before one hits the roof. ~ S #5537 Soggy Cavern~ Parts of this natural cavern are covered in ice while other parts have small puddles of water. Only a few stalgtites have icicles, and those that do are closer to the southern side of the cavern. The north side seems to be a bit warmer, and you think you can hear the sound of a fire further along. ~ 0 2097160 13 D0 ~ ~ 0 -1 5538 D2 ~ ~ 0 -1 5533 S #5538 Junk Pile~ The natural cavern opens up into a high-vaulted area, here, with the ceiling shrouded in darkness somewhere above. Strewn along the floor, around and sometimes impaled upon the stalagmites, are the remains of what appear to be several robots of varied purpose. There are also some bare, broken bones to be found, in the detritus. A small, narrow tube-like tunnel is in the southeast wall. It looks like only one person could fit through at a time. ~ 0 2097160 13 D0 ~ ~ 0 -1 5539 D2 ~ ~ 0 -1 5537 D8 ~ ~ 0 -1 5540 E remains robots~ The parts that can be found on the floor are all broken and non-functional. There are tracked legs, arms that end in broken, scythe-like blades, and even a few campy-looking robot heads. ~ E bones~ These bones look like they've been stripped of their flesh and muscle and have been sitting here for quite some time. Some of them show deep gouges, as if they were cloven into by some sort of bladed weapon, while others are broken and splintered, as if some heavy object or over-whelming force smashed into them. ~ S #5539 Uncomfortably Warm~ The air in here is thick and muggy, making it difficult to breathe if one's not used to intense heat. Various cracks in the natural stone floor seem to ooze further heat into the cavern and the stone itself looks like it's melting and dripping in areas. ~ 0 2097160 13 D2 ~ ~ 0 -1 5538 E cracks~ Intense heat emanates from the cracks in the floor. As you listen closely you think you can hear the sound of flames from somewhere deep in the bowels of the earth. ~ S #5540 Narrow Tube~ The fit is close and cramped in here, but there doesn't seem to be a danger of getting stuck. This tube-like tunnel is odd in the fact that its sides are perfectly smooth and it's perfectly round. It almost looks like it was made by something and not natural. ~ 0 2099208 13 D2 ~ ~ 0 -1 5530 D7 ~ ~ 0 -1 5538 S #5541 Quiet Side Tunnel~ Other than the sound of the water flowing through the channel in the center of the tunnel, it's pretty quiet. The faint smell of cooking food can barely be detected hanging in the air and it mingles with the lingering odor of the sewer system in general. ~ 0 520 13 D2 ~ ~ 0 -1 5525 D6 ~ ~ 0 -1 5542 S #5542 Sweet-smelling Sewer Exit~ The smell of food hangs heavy in the air, here. The water flows at a decent rate down the channel, and heads off to the east. The feed pipes look to be in average shape, but are at least doing their job and dumping the sewage into the main channel. Metal rungs are set into the wall and end at a grate set in the ceiling. ~ 0 520 13 D1 ~ ~ 0 -1 5544 D4 ~ grate~ 1 -1 5543 D9 ~ ~ 0 -1 5541 S #5543 Well-stocked Basement~ This appears to be a basement used for the storage of perishable and non- perishable food items. Various crates are stacked around the room as well as jars, bottles and boxes. The smell of cooking food is very strong here, and light filters in under the door at the top of the stairs. The din of conversation can be heard from the other side of the door. A grate is set in the floor and appears to lead down. ~ 0 8 0 D5 ~ grate~ 3 -1 5542 E door~ Light comes in from under the door, conversation can be heard, and the door appears to be locked. ~ S #5544 Boring Sewer Tunnel~ There's nothing remarkable here. Feed pipes are set in the walls and dump their contents into channels that lead to the central water flow down the middle of the tunnel. The smell isn't as bad as one would expect, especially since there's a slight hint of cooking food lingering in the air. Other than that, it's dark, and slightly damp. ~ 0 520 13 D1 ~ ~ 0 -1 5545 D3 ~ ~ 0 -1 5542 S #5545 Run-down Sewer Tunnel~ The walls here are cracked and crumbling, as is the channel through which the water is supposed to flow. Due to its erosion and the fact that the feed pipes are spewing their filth-ridden water where ever they please its almost impossible to walk through here without getting one's feet wet. The smell is pretty horrible here, to boot, so it's probably not on anyone's top vacation spots in the Universe. ~ 0 520 13 D1 ~ ~ 0 -1 5546 D3 ~ ~ 0 -1 5544 S #5546 Flooded Sewer Tunnel~ The &Bwater&g has taken over this long strech of sewer tunnel and left it so there's no place to walk. The water is dark and cloudy and emits a horrible smell, which only compounds the fact that you're probably going to have to swim through it. ~ 0 8 6 D1 ~ ~ 0 -1 5547 D3 ~ ~ 0 -1 5545 > rand_prog 20~ mpecho The water suddenly ripples and the explodes in a shower as a silver- scaled fish leaps into the air. ~ | S #5547 Mostly Dry Access Hatch~ The sewer water coming in from the east all gets fed down a large grate that takes up most of the floor in the eastern end of the tunnel. This leaves the western end amazingly dry. The smell is only so-so, with the odd scent of ozone mixing with the raw sewage smell that prevails in the tunnel system. A set of metal rungs is in the west wall and lead up to a grate in the ceiling. ~ 0 520 13 D3 ~ ~ 0 -1 5546 D4 ~ grate~ 1 -1 5548 S #5548 Overlooking The Subway Tracks~ This is a small, caged room that looks out onto the subway tracks. You can't hear the sound of the train, currently, and you're not even certain if these tracks are still in use. The smell of ozone hangs in the air, probably coming from the crackling third rail that's on the other side of the cage. Perhaps that high-pitched squealing is the sound of an oncoming subway train. Or maybe it's just your brain playing tricks on you. ~ 0 520 13 D5 ~ grate~ 1 -1 5547 S #5549 Well-worn Sewer Tunnel~ The paths along the main channel look to be well-worn and in need of repair. The feed pipes are in pretty good shape and deposit their payload without any difficulty. This, of course, is what makes the tunnel smell like raw sewage. Of course, what's to be exptect in the sewers? ~ 0 520 13 D1 ~ ~ 0 -1 5550 D3 ~ ~ 0 -1 5500 S #5550 T-Intersection~ A t-intersection is formed by the meeting of east-bound, west-bound and south-bound tunnels here. Water flows in from the east and west and then flows out to the south, leaving its noxious smell as it passes by. The sound of a roaring flow of water can be heard to the east while an odd clinking noise comes from the south. ~ 0 520 13 D1 ~ ~ 0 -1 5551 D2 ~ ~ 0 -1 5552 D3 ~ ~ 0 -1 5549 S #5551 Residential Dead End?~ The entire east wall of the tunnel is compirsed of a gigantic metal grate which allows the waterfall of water to flow into the rest of the tunnel. The sound of this water makes it nearly imposible to hear anything! Set on the western end of the tunnel are a few cardboard boxes, arranged so that they almost look like a small tenement, though who would want to live in a place as filthy and noisome as this is beyond you. ~ 0 65544 13 D3 ~ ~ 0 -1 5550 E cardboard boxes~ These boxes look a bit water-logged but still seem to be sound. Little cut-outs, reminiscent of windows, can be seen at various points, and what barely passes as rags are stuffed inside of them. ~ S #5552 Clean Sewer Tunnel~ Compared to most of the rest of the sewer tunnels, this one seems rather clean and doesn't even smell bad. The feed pipes are in great shape, and the water they deposit into the main channel is crystal clear and almost sweet-smelling. This just doesn't seem right. ~ 0 520 13 D0 ~ ~ 0 -1 5550 D2 ~ ~ 0 -1 5553 S #5553 Sparkling T-Intersection~ The stone-work here nearly sparkles with cleanliness. A fresh, pine scent pervades the entire tunnel and the water looks, and smells, clean enough to drink. The feed pipes have been buffed to a mirror sheen and little red bows have been tied around each one. What's going on here?!?! ~ 0 520 13 D0 ~ ~ 0 -1 5552 D1 ~ ~ 0 -1 5554 D2 ~ ~ 0 -1 5557 S #5554 A Forest?~ Even though this is still in the middle of the sewer system there are trees and shrubs growing here. They seem to have seamlessly grown into the rock and stone and are flourishing despite the lack of sunlight. The whole tunnel seems vibrant and alive and has the clean, fresh smell of a forest about it. ~ 0 520 13 D1 ~ ~ 0 -1 5555 D3 ~ ~ 0 -1 5553 S #5555 A Savannah?~ You can't believe your eyes. The walls and ceiling of the tunnel are still the same stone work that's throughout the sewer system, but the floor and channel have been transformed into a flat grassland with a river flowing through it. The water looks clear and clean, the grass is real, living grass, and everything looks to be thriving. The question is, who or what did this? ~ 0 520 13 D1 ~ ~ 0 -1 5556 D3 ~ ~ 0 -1 5554 S #5556 Rocky Overlook~ The tunnel has been modified and transformed so that it look like what one would expect to find in the mountains or foothills. The water flowing through the channel has rocks built up around it to make it look like a mountain stream, the floor is uneven and craggy looking, and there are even a few scraggly-looking pines dotting the landscape. In spite of this oddity, the other thing that catches your eye is the fact that the entire eastern side of the tunnel is a huge grate which looks out onto a river. ~ 0 520 13 D3 ~ ~ 0 -1 5555 E grate~ This grate looks to be made of solid metal and is securely anchored to the walls, floor and ceiling. It doesn't look like it's going to budge. It does look out onto an idyllic riverscape and fresh air from outside makes this entire tunnel section feel quite relaxing. ~ E river~ Through the grate you can see the river as it lazily makes its way through its bed. Various trees and plants line the banks and several rocky outcroppings can be seen from this vantage point. All in all the river looks quite nice and inviting. ~ S #5557 Trashed Sewer Tunnel~ This portion of the sewer tunnel system is trashed.... literally. There is refuse of just about every kind imaginable strewn about everything in the tunnel. What looks like food wrappers are on the feed pipes, soiled under-garments float in the water, a rusted-out front quarter-panel is resting against a nearby wall, and innumerable other bits of debris are about. ~ 0 520 13 D0 ~ ~ 0 -1 5553 D2 ~ ~ 0 -1 5558 S #5558 Clothes?!?!~ Instead of a sewer tunnel it looks like you've stepped into the back room of a very busy laundry! Clothes of just about every size, shape and color are stacked in neat piles all over the place. It almost looks like each pile is sorted based on race and gender, but you're not entirely certain. All in all, the entire scene is just very odd. ~ 0 520 13 D0 ~ ~ 0 -1 5557 D3 ~ ~ 0 -1 5559 S #5559 Boxed In~ Boxes, boxes, everywhere and not a drop to drink... no, wait, that's not how that goes. But there are boxes everywhere. This portion of the sewers has been turned into a massive store room for boxes of all shapes and sizes. Some of them are even out in the middle of the channel, floating on top of a small wooden raft that's in the water. ~ 0 520 13 D1 ~ ~ 0 -1 5558 D2 ~ ~ 0 -1 5565 D3 ~ ~ 0 -1 5560 E boxes~ These boxes are all in very good shape, considering they're in such a dark, damp environment. Most of the boxes are unmarked, but a few do have some labels on them. ~ E label labels~ One box has a label that reads "Clothes 0-3m", another says "Shoes" and yet antoher says "College Notes". ~ S #5560 The Tunnel Widens~ The sewer tunnel is wider here than at most other points in the system. To the west it looks like the tunnel opens into a large chamber and to the east it narrows down to the normal size found throughout the sewer complex. The feed pipes are oddly silent and the water seems to move very lazily in the channel. ~ 0 520 13 D1 ~ ~ 0 -1 5559 D3 ~ ~ 0 -1 5561 S #5561 Crazy Town~ This looks to have been some form of convergence of sewer tunnel pipes, but probably hasn't been used for that purpose in many years. Instead this has become a small town of cardboard boxes. The boxes have all been converted into make-shift housing and seem to be keeping pretty dry, in spite of the dampness that surrounds them. A grate is set in the floor and held fast by a large, rusted padlock. ~ 0 8 13 D1 ~ ~ 0 -1 5560 D4 ~ ~ 0 -1 5562 D5 ~ grate~ 7 5501 5563 E boxes~ These boxes have been cobbled together to form one, two and even three- story homes. Windows and doors have been cut in them, and what vaguely passes for landscaping has been constructed from cardboard cutouts and placed in front of some of the "houses". ~ S #5562 Empty Room~ This room is dreadfully empty. There's not even any dust on the floor. You're not certain what the purpose of this room used to be, but it's not doing anything now. The floor is made of sturdy metal and the open doorway looks like it still has half the hinges that would have gone to a door. ~ 0 520 13 D5 ~ ~ 0 -1 5561 S #5563 Sump Room~ The whirring sound of a working sump pump dominates this room. It looks like it's barely holding its own, though, because the room is flooded to about knee height on a full-grown human. There doesn't appear to be any water coming in through the grate, up above, so you're not entirely certain why this room is so flooded. ~ 0 8 13 D3 ~ ~ 0 -1 5564 D4 ~ grate~ 7 5501 5561 S #5564 Leaky Room~ The west wall of this room has sprung a rather major leak. Clear water gushes in through the sizable crack in the wall and has not only left this room flooded to about knee height on a full-grown human, but it's run off into the adjoining room to the east. Through the foam of where the water hits the surface of what's already in the room something &Wsparkles&g. ~ 0 520 13 D1 ~ ~ 0 -1 5563 E something sparkle~ You can barely make out something small and shiny in the foam of the water. You think it may be a necklace of some kind, but you're not entirely certain. ~ S #5565 Jungle Fever~ A jungle?!? In the sewers?!? You can't believe your eyes, but it certainly looks like you've stepped out of the sewers and into a jungle. The trees, the underbrush, even the blank-faced monkey staring at you. Wait a minute.... that monkey's been staring at you for quite a while and he hasn't blinked. Now that you look a bit more closely, everything looks a little flat. Well, it turns out this isn't a jungle at all. It's just a bunch of cardboard cut into jungle shapes and painted. Why would someone go to all this trouble? ~ 0 520 13 D0 ~ ~ 0 -1 5559 D2 ~ ~ 0 -1 5566 S #5566 Turn In The Sewers~ The sewer tunnel runs both north and southeast from here, with an assortment of feed pipes set along all the walls. The smell here isn't too bad, and for the most part this is pretty nondescript. Except for human-sized crack in the southwest corner of the tunnel. It looks like it leads off to somewhere else. ~ 0 520 13 D0 ~ ~ 0 -1 5565 D8 ~ ~ 0 -1 5567 D9 ~ ~ 0 -1 5577 S #5567 Sewage!~ This portion of the sewer tunnel smells HORRIBLE! The feed pipes leak all manner of raw sewage into the main channel and the smell has just really mucked the place up. This is NOT a place you'd want to vacation. Perhaps things are a little better back to the northwest, which is where the water here is coming from. Of course, they could also be better to the east, where the sewage is being swept away.... ~ 0 520 13 D1 ~ ~ 0 -1 5568 D7 ~ ~ 0 -1 5566 S #5568 Glowing Sewage~ The water flowing through the channel, from the west, is just loaded with excrement and filth, which smells horrible. What worries you, though is the fact that the liquid pouring out of the feed pipes is glowing a sickly shade of green. It looks like it's causing some pretty nasty things to happen to the floaters as the two liquids mix. ~ 0 520 13 D1 ~ ~ 0 -1 5569 D3 ~ ~ 0 -1 5567 S #5569 Slashed Tunnel~ This portion of the tunnel looks like it's been through some pretty rough times. The feed pipes, and even the stone walls and floor, have been gouged and rended with something. You're not entirely certain what caused the damage, but if you had to place a guess you'd think it was some form of claw-like device. ~ 0 520 13 D1 ~ ~ 0 -1 5570 D3 ~ ~ 0 -1 5568 S #5570 Daylight!~ Daylight streams in from the broken grating that takes up the entire east side of the tunnel. A peaceful looking river can be seen through the exit that yawns in the grating. The glowing, filthy sewage that's been carried along the water-flow is being dumped right into that peaceful river, though, which means that anyone who chooses to swim, downstream, is in for a big surprise! ~ 0 8 13 D1 ~ ~ 0 -1 5571 D3 ~ ~ 0 -1 5569 S #5571 On The River~ You find yourself in the middle of a river. The water flows from the north to the south, and a loud roaring noise can be faintly heard downstream. The eastern bank is overgrown and does not appear to have a suitable spot to land nor does it have a path through the forest. ~ 0 0 6 D0 ~ ~ 0 -1 5572 D2 ~ ~ 0 -1 5575 D3 ~ ~ 0 -1 5570 S #5572 On The River, Near the Bank~ The river looks to be somewhat choppy and flows at a pretty decent rate as it makes its way south. The western bank is a tall, sheer cliff that looks to be unclimbable while the eastern bank seems to have a small clearing in the vegetation that would be suitable for someone to check out. ~ 0 0 6 D0 ~ ~ 0 -1 5574 D1 ~ ~ 0 -1 5573 D2 ~ ~ 0 -1 5571 S #5573 Wooded River Bank~ Tall trees with white bark line this river bank while lush, green foliage covers most of the ground. Rocks of various sizes not only jut into the river but poke up from the dirt as well. The trees and underbrush are very thick and make passage through the forest impossible. ~ 0 0 3 D3 ~ ~ 0 -1 5572 S #5574 Cliff Face~ An imposing, granite cliff face is the only visible feature to the north. A river flows from its base and wends its way to the south. There is very little room between the water and the cliff and coupled with the strength of the current it would be impossible to swim under the cliff and see where the river leads. ~ 0 0 6 D2 ~ ~ 0 -1 5572 S #5575 Class 3 Rapids~ Large rocks and a powerful current have made this portion of the river into a Class 3 rapids. The water foams around the rocks and driftwood ends up getting splintered through certain passages within the water. You think that this particular rapids might hit Class 4, or even Class 5, if the water gets to moving fast enough. ~ 0 0 6 D0 ~ ~ 0 -1 5571 D2 ~ ~ 0 -1 5576 S #5576 Top of the Waterfall~ he river ends here, rather suddenly, at the top of a waterfall. You can see the water cascade down for dozens of meters before it's dashed against the rocks below. A dark opening yawns in the western cliff face and the eastern bank is dotted with large rocks and overgrown with trees and shrubs. ~ 0 0 6 D0 ~ ~ 0 -1 5575 D3 ~ ~ 0 -1 5590 S #5577 Old Sewers~ The stone work here is done up in a style that hasn't been used in several decades, if not several centuries. Instead of a large central channel to carry the sewage there are several aqueducts making a criss-crossing pattern high over-head. There doesn't appear to be any water flowing, and everything looks run down and in need of maintenance. ~ 0 520 13 D2 ~ ~ 0 -1 5578 D6 ~ ~ 0 -1 5566 S #5578 And They All Fell Down~ The aqueducts here have fallen into such disrepair that there are only bits and pieces of them left standing. Solitary suport pillars dot the landscape and moss has grown between the cracks in the stone floor and walls. ~ 0 520 13 D0 ~ ~ 0 -1 5577 D2 ~ ~ 0 -1 5579 S #5579 Aqueducts Meet~ The tangle of stone that starts about 2 meters off the ground and rises to the ceiling is impressive. This looks to have been a major switching station for the ancient sewer system that is in place here. No water currently flows through the stone channels high above, but it must have made quiet a noise back when all of this was actually in use. ~ 0 520 13 D0 ~ ~ 0 -1 5578 D2 ~ ~ 0 -1 5585 D3 ~ ~ 0 -1 5580 S #5580 Gradual Incline~ The passage gradually rises to the west but seems the same other than that. Stone aqueducts stand at various points in here, set up to carry water to and from points unknown. An aura of quiet hangs in the air which lends to the ancient, revered feeling that surrounds the stone work. ~ 0 520 13 D1 ~ ~ 0 -1 5579 D3 ~ ~ 0 -1 5581 S #5581 Going Up?~ The ancient sewer system that's evident looks like it has a starting point here. The reason you believe that is due to the fact that the aqueducts run downhill from here to the east. The aqueducts themselves are quite a marvel to look at, since they're made entire of stone. A set of rusty, metal rungs are set into the north wall and lead up to a rusted grate that you're not entirely certain will still open. ~ 0 520 13 D1 ~ ~ 0 -1 5580 D4 ~ grate rusted~ 1 -1 5582 S #5582 Small Office~ This smallish room looks to have been an office at some point. The scattered remains of office furniture are strewn about the place along with some pretty hefty chunks of stone. It looks like this room was buried under a lot of rock and soil and some point, which would account for the collapse of the roof in the northeast corner. There are doors leading out of the room to the north and the west. ~ 0 8 13 D0 ~ ~ 1 -1 5583 D3 ~ ~ 1 -1 5583 D5 ~ grate rusted~ 1 -1 5581 S #5583 Abandoned, Buried Warehouse~ This huge empty space looks to have been a warehouse at one point in time. Now it seems to serve as some form of meeting area. The few crates that haven't rotted away are stacked in the southwest corner of the warehouse. A cave-in has blocked most of the northeastern corner, but the small walls of what looks to be an office take up the southeastern corner, with doors that let one in going both south and east. Another small, office-like structure takes up the northwestern corner, with the access points leading north and west. ~ 0 8 13 D0 ~ ~ 7 5502 5584 D1 ~ ~ 3 -1 5582 D2 ~ ~ 3 -1 5582 D3 ~ ~ 7 5502 5584 S #5584 Converted Office~ At one point in time this was an office, that much is evident from the desks and chairs that have been piled in one corner. At this point in time, the room has been converted to a storage shed. Several of the cabinets in here have doors that hang open on broken hinges, but there are still a couple others that look to still be in working condition. ~ 0 8 13 D1 ~ ~ 7 5502 5583 D2 ~ ~ 7 5502 5583 S #5585 Gruesome T-Intersection~ This looks like a scene straight out of a horror movie. Streamers of what you're pretty sure are entrails are strung along the walls and hang from the aqueducts. Severed hands and feet and nailed into the stone, some with mostly decayed flesh hanging loosely from the bones, and blood is splattered just about everywhere. ~ 0 520 13 D0 ~ ~ 0 -1 5579 D2 ~ ~ 0 -1 5586 D3 ~ ~ 0 -1 5591 S #5586 Boneyard~ Most of the aqueducts here have fallen over and are nothing more than a pile of rocks and debris. Scattered among these piles of rubble are the bones of various hapless victims. To the southeast, however, is a very large pile of bones, with an assortment of skulls placed on the top as some form of grisly headstone, perhaps. ~ 0 520 13 D0 ~ ~ 0 -1 5585 D1 ~ ~ 0 -1 5587 S #5587 Aqueducts End~ The aqueducts look to come to an end here, angling down to deposit their payload (which they aren't transporting now, and probably haven't in a very long time) into the large grate that takes up most of the floor. The grate still looks sound and is made of metal. It appears to be quite securely fastened into the floor and it would take an awful lot of force to either move it or destroy it. A large rent has been torn in the the stone wall to the northeast. ~ 0 520 13 D3 ~ ~ 0 -1 5586 D6 ~ ~ 0 -1 5588 S #5588 Natural Tunnel~ A natural tunnel goes off to the east, here, and a nasty-looking hole has been torn int he southwest portion of the cave. Stalagtites and stalagmites dot the ceiling and floor while small pools of water stand in various spots in the cave. ~ 0 8 13 D1 ~ ~ 0 -1 5589 D9 ~ ~ 0 -1 5587 E pools water~ These pools look to be rather clear and clean. They may even be safe to drink! ~ S #5589 Underground Amphitheatre~ A large natural cavern has been formed here, most likely through natural means. What doesn't look natural, however, is the large, flat, open space set near the middle of the cavern. What also doesn't look natural are the indentations in some stone shelves set in the floor around the open area. While they don't look entirely natural, they have been fashioned to mostly resemble natural structures, given the whole place an aesthetically appealing look. With the way everything is arrange, you'd have to assume that this was, at one point, an amphitheatre or arena. ~ 0 8 13 D1 ~ ~ 0 -1 5590 D3 ~ ~ 0 -1 5588 S #5590 Misty Tunnel~ A load roaring noise can be heard from the cave opening to the east. A light mist sprays in from that direction as well, making the entire tunnel slippery and hazardous for much more than a walking pace. To the west the tunnel seems to widen into a large open area. ~ 0 8 13 D1 ~ ~ 0 -1 5576 D3 ~ ~ 0 -1 5589 S #5591 Meat Locker~ The stone aqueducts here serve as little more than solid, ornate hanging racks for quite an assortment of dead bodies. The bodies range from all manner of animal to several humanoid shapes and are in various states of completeness. From the look of things, this is a large meat locker and the hanging bodies are the meat! ~ 0 520 13 D1 ~ ~ 0 -1 5585 D3 ~ ~ 0 -1 5592 S #5592 Preparation Area~ Bits and pieces of bodies are in various forms of preparation here. Some look to be just in the skinning and portioning stage while others have been cured and/or marinated and are getting ready to be cooked. Some large metal cook-pots have been hung by heavy metal chains that are attached to the stone aqueducts about 2 meters above the floor. The smell is oddly appealing, considering what some of the pieces being cooked used to be... ~ 0 8 13 D1 ~ ~ 0 -1 5591 D3 ~ ~ 0 -1 5593 S #5593 Feast!~ What was a tunnel has opened into a huge room, with criss-crossing stone aqueducts winding and wending their way throughout it. A tunnel entrance is barely visible off to the west, both because of the size of the room and due to the fact that there are huge piles of bones and bodies all over the room. Most of the body parts do look like they've been cooked, but not all of them look all that appealing. ~ 0 8 13 D1 ~ ~ 0 -1 5592 D3 ~ ~ 0 -1 5594 S #5594 Trash~ Refuse is piled high and deep, here. You can see bones, clothing, boxes, paper, metal, a little bit of everything. Most of it looks like it was ripped from whoever owned it and then just thrown here. It also looks like something may make its home in the piles, as evidenced by the various holes and tunnels that have been made. ~ 0 12 13 D1 ~ ~ 0 -1 5593 D3 ~ ~ 0 -1 5595 S #5595 Everyone Out of the Pool!~ The stone work on the floor has ben fashioned into a large pool that takes up the better part of this section of the tunnel. Only a couple of aqueducts stand here, angled so the water they'd carry would be taken to the northwest. Steam rises from the pool, giving the air a humid quality. ~ 0 12 13 D1 ~ ~ 0 -1 5594 D7 ~ ~ 0 -1 5596 S #5596 Abrupt End~ The tunnel has collapsed, to the north, cutting off any further travel in that direction. The aqueducts that lead that way end in jagged edges a couple of meters before the cave-in, but they do lead off to the southeast, where it looks like the tunnel is still intact. ~ 0 12 13 D8 ~ ~ 0 -1 5595 S #5597 Floating in a void~ ~ 0 2097156 1 S #5598 Floating in a void~ ~ 0 2097156 1 S #5599 Floating in a void~ ~ 0 2097156 1 S #0 #RESETS M 1 5500 1 5504 M 1 5501 1 5506 M 1 5502 1 5506 M 1 5503 1 5508 M 1 5504 1 5508 M 1 5505 1 5526 M 1 5506 1 5526 M 1 5507 1 5526 M 1 5513 1 5539 M 1 5516 1 5546 M 1 5516 1 5546 M 1 5516 1 5546 M 1 5516 1 5546 M 1 5517 1 5546 M 1 5520 1 5561 M 1 5521 1 5561 M 1 5522 1 5561 G 1 5501 1 D 0 5561 5 2 M 1 5523 1 5570 M 1 5524 1 5583 M 1 5525 1 5583 M 1 5526 1 5583 G 1 5502 1 D 0 5583 0 2 D 0 5583 1 1 D 0 5583 2 1 D 0 5583 3 2 M 1 5527 1 5589 M 1 5510 1 5534 G 1 5500 1 D 0 5534 2 2 O 1 5503 1 5500 O 1 5504 1 5515 O 1 5505 1 5515 M 1 5508 1 5532 M 1 5509 1 5532 O 1 5506 1 5532 O 1 5507 1 5532 O 1 5508 1 5532 M 1 5512 1 5536 M 1 5511 1 5536 E 1 5512 1 17 E 1 5511 1 12 O 1 5509 1 5536 O 1 5510 1 5536 O 1 5513 1 5529 M 1 5514 1 5543 M 1 5515 1 5543 O 1 5515 1 5543 O 1 5514 1 5543 D 0 5543 5 1 O 1 5518 1 5564 O 1 5519 1 5584 D 0 5584 1 2 D 0 5584 2 2 M 1 5528 1 5592 M 1 5529 1 5592 E 1 5533 1 16 M 1 5530 1 5592 E 1 5534 1 3 O 1 5522 1 5592 M 1 5531 1 5593 M 1 5532 1 5593 M 1 5532 1 5593 M 1 5532 1 5593 M 1 5532 1 5593 O 1 5524 3 5593 O 1 5526 1 5593 O 1 5525 1 5593 M 1 5533 1 5595 O 1 5527 1 5595 M 1 5518 1 5551 M 1 5519 1 5551 M 1 5501 1 5549 M 1 5517 1 5514 M 1 5506 1 5514 D 0 5514 0 1 D 0 5514 3 1 M 1 5506 1 5522 M 1 5500 1 5545 M 1 5505 1 5519 M 1 5500 1 5563 M 1 5507 1 5563 D 0 5563 4 2 M 1 5517 1 5572 M 1 5516 1 5574 M 1 5516 1 5574 M 1 5516 1 5574 M 1 5515 1 5573 S #SHOPS 0 #REPAIRS 0 #SPECIALS S #$
