Entrance to The Zoo~
A wrought iron fence stands before you, with a gate in the middle,
leading into the Zoo.  Rumour has it that people have been disappearing
inside, but the idyllic appearance of the zoo implies that it is nothing
more than a fun family spot.  Moon lilys climb all over the gate, blooming
at night.

This small pasture is enclosed by a fence, giving the elephants here very
little room to move.  There is a bit of hay strewn around for them to eat,

You've stumbled INTO the alligator's pond, and they don't seem to be too
happy about it.  There are suspiscious piles around the shore too.

The Kangaroo Cage~
You are in the Kangaroo Cage.  The floor is covered with grasses, and it
appears that the kangaroos are quite cramped in here.

Inside a manhole, under the zoo.~
This chamber is small and cramped, unlit, and very smelly.  Apparently
this is an access chamber to the pipes that supply water to the zoo, and run
the, err, waste, back out.  Some of the pipes are leaking, and it appears
that one of them is leaking something strange...  
 
A small passageway leads south from here.

A few of the pipes are leaking water or smelly sewage from the animal
cages.  One, however, catches your attention.  The liquid it is leaking is
{Gglowing{w, and appears to be etching holes in the brick floor of the
chamber.

A cramped passageway~
Pipes run through this very cramped passageway, leaking water and sewage
from the animal cages.  Silence permeates the air louder than any noise is
capable of, with at least 15 feet of rock, dirt and paving above the
chamber.  There is no dust, however, suggesting someone is down here often. 
Routine maintenance is not likely considering the state of disrepair of
these pipes.  The pipes enter a small tunnel which is much to small for
anything larger than a pixie to fit through.  Something doesn't seem right,
however.  There has to be another way out of this room than back to the
north ...

A small room~
Behind the door, the crawlspace opens out into a small wood-walled
chamber.  A small torch flickers weakly on the wall, keeping the room warm
and lit.  A ladder leads down through a hole in the floor.
