This zone is for the areas outside the capital city of Kortaal. The roads
outside the city link it up to other areas in the world of Toran. This
zone now also contains the Fields of the Dead, which used to
be it's own zone, zone #33.  
  
The Fields of the Dead is suitable for 1st-2nd level characters.

This zone links up with zones: 25, 30, 35, 40, 60, 113, 114 and 120.

   You are standing in the small, run down house of the Fields' caretaker. It
is a quaint home, for it's disrepair.

Inside the Cormaeril Crypt~
   A very strange feeling overtakes you as you stand inside the crypt of one
of the founding familes of the Empire. It is much cooler inside than it was
outside, there are many finely carved statues here. At the northern end is
a small staircase leading downward into darkness.

they are buried here.

Chamber of the Dead~
   There are several caskets here, in the bottem of the crypt. It is very cold
and damp here. Moss and mold grows on the walls, and it doesn't smell very
pleasent. Set into the northern wall is a stairway winding upward.

The Living Room~
   You stand in the large, spacious living room of a citizen of Kortaal. The
house as a whole is quite large, and looks expensive, perhaps the people who
live here are minor nobles. The furniture is well constructed and practical,
if slightly over priced. You see a couch, loveseat and a table with several
chair. Along the north wall you see a large, marble fireplace, with a 
carving of Hek's holy symbol resting atop it.

The Bedroom~
   You thought the living room was large! This bedroom looks as if it could 
sleep ten or tweleve people without problem...provided there were more beds.
There is only one bed here, a large, four poster bed with very expensive 
looking sheets. There are several paintings on the walls. There is a doorway
to the north, a walk-in closet to the east, and a doorway to the south.

A Shrine to Hek~
   You stand in a very holy room. Along the south wall you see an alter to the
High God, Hek. Along the walls there are various paintings and sketches. Some
of them of Hek himself. There are also several maps of various parts of the
Realms upon the walls.

They are of various deeds of Hek's in the past. Great battles, ending of plages
and the like. A few even depict a man, perhaps Hek himself, wielding a mighty
warhammer.
