IntelliBots ----------- Playground+ includes Mikael Segercrantz's (aka Segtor) IntelliBots code. Please note that this code is still in an early test stage, and is in no way supported, not by Segtor, nor by anyone involved in the PG+ project. --- Begin included README.IntelliBots --- Ok. First, if this code produces any error in your talker, don't come screaming at me. It's released completely "as is", and I disclaim all liabilities. I know this isn't near perfect, and talking.c only has the calls to this added, the talking commands hasn't been changed in any other way to support this. That's still to come, some day. Then, some small instructions on how to change the code to fit your talker. First, I wrote IntelliBots to work with Slaine's robots code. This means, that you can define the intelligent robots as normal robots in Slaine's code, and just let my code work on the trigger phrases. 1) Planning it out First, before doing any changes, before even compiling IntelliBots into the code, design them out. How many do you need? What phrases should they be triggered from? How they should react to these phrases. Write everything down. 2) Defining the robot(s) Locate the place where the robot names are listed, as well as the types of input they want. Change this to suite what you planned. 3) Defining the trigger phrase(s) Below the definiton of the robots themselves you can find the place where the trigger phrases can be set. Write the phrases you want the robots to react to here, with the reaction number. 4) IR_PRIVATE actions Locate the part of the code where the actions for private communications (about midway in intelligent_robot), and change the predefined actions to what will be required on your talker. 5) IR_ROOM and IR_SHOUT actions At the bottom of intelligent_robot you can find the definition of the actions for room and global commands. Change these to fit your plans, too. 6) Enable IntelliBots Type 'make config', select (Y)es on the 'Include robots code', and then (Y)es on the 'Include Segtors IntelliBots (beta)'. Then 'make install', and the talker will compile with the intelligent robot code in it. Have fun. --- End included README.IntelliBots ---
