These are options stored in a text file which can be edited whilst the talker is running. Before you compile and boot the talker you may want to, at least, change some of the basic options. These are listed below along with their current values: - Your talker name (`grep "^talker_name" ../soft/config.msg | cut -f2-`) - Your talker port (`grep "^port" ../soft/config.msg | cut -f2-`) - Your talker email address (`grep "^talker_email" ../soft/config.msg | cut -f2-`) - Your intercom abbreviation (`grep "^intercom_abbr" ../soft/config.msg | cut -f2-`) - The HCAdmins (`grep "^hcadmins" ../soft/config.msg | cut -f2-`) - The HCAdmin access password (`grep "^hc_passwd" ../soft/config.msg | cut -f2-`) *END* echo -n " Would you like to edit these values? [Y]: " read response if [ "$response" != "n" ] then echo -n " Type in the command line of your favourite editor [$EDITOR]: " read fav if [ "$fav" = "" ] then fav=$EDITOR else EDITOR=$fav export EDITOR fi $EDITOR ../soft/config.msg bash configure/configure_softmsg exit fi clear cat <<*END* Playground Plus v$PG_VERSION configuration --------------------------------------------------------------------------- COMPILE TALKER `grep "^talker_name" ../soft/config.msg | cut -f2-` is now ready to be compiled. This will take from between 2 and 15 minutes depending on the speed and load of your server. Once you have compiled your talker then you can boot it up and have people using it. Type: make install - to compile all parts of your talker ../bin/angel & - to boot up your talker on port `grep "^port" ../soft/config.msg | cut -f2-` If you have any problems or questions please consult the help files which are located in the pgplus/help_files directory. *END*
