The wall is covered from base to top with precious gems, including diamonds, rubies, emeralds, and sapphires, as well as gems unidentifiable to you. You realize that this wall must be one of the walls of the famous Crystal city. Set into the middle of the wall is a large gate, completely covered in diamonds. The gate is closed, but not locked. The path leads north into the city, or east, back to the main road. ~ 0 0 0 D0 ~ ~ 0 0 41001 S #41001 the Main Street of Crystal City~ Entering the city, the first thing you notice is the road upon which you walk. It is paved with crystal, gold, and precious gems. The road leads north from here. To the south is the city gate. ~ 0 0 0 D0 ~ ~ 0 0 41012 D2 ~ ~ 0 0 41000 S #41002 The Main Street of Crystal City~ As you walk along the main street, an intersection of two roads can be seen up ahead. A cluster of people can be seen mingling and talking to one another, and gathering around a large structure made of gold. From this distance, it is not possible to clearly see exactly what the structure is, but you have the urge to take a closer look. You can travel north along the main street towards the intersection, or south back the way you came. ~ 0 0 0 D0 ~ ~ 0 0 41003 D2 ~ ~ 0 0 41012 S #41003 The Crystal City Square~ As you walk further down the crystal road, you come upon the crystal square. Two crystal roads intersect each other here, the road on which you were walking, and a smaller street that leads east and west of here. Throughout the square, you see the citizens of this fine city, talking and mingling about. the most predominant feature of the square is a large fountain made entirely of gold. Crystal clear water spouts from the fountain, spraying into the air with a cool mist, and landing back down into the fountain again. Roads lead in all directions from here. North, the road continues, the city gates are visible to the south, and east and west a smaller road leads to the residential section of the city. ~ 0 0 0 D0 ~ ~ 0 0 41004 D2 ~ ~ 0 0 41002 S #41004 The Main Street of Crystal City~ Walking along the road, two buildings can be seen up ahead, on either sides of the street. The eastern building is made entirely of emeralds, while the western building is made entirely of sapphires. A sign over the door of the eastern building reads: Emerald Magic shop. The sign over the door of the western building reads: Sapphire Weapon Shop. The sign over the door to the eastern building reads: Diamond Inn and pub. The road continues north, where the north gates of the city are barely visible. The eastern building is made entirely of amethyst. There is a sign over the door that reads: Amethyst Bakery. The western building is made entirely of topaz. The sign over the door reads: Topaz General Store. The city gates are visible to the north. You can head along north towards the city gates, or back south, toward the heart of the city. ~ 0 0 0 D0 ~ ~ 0 0 41007 D2 ~ ~ 0 0 41005 S #41007 The Northern Gates of Crystal City~ Travelling closer to the gate, the most predominant feature here is that the gate is completely covered in crystal, gold, and many different gems. It looks quite similar to the southern gate of the city. The gates are closed, but not locked. The only exit is south, back into the heart of the city. ~ 0 0 0 D2 ~ ~ 0 0 41006 S #41008 Sapphire Weapon Shop~ Entering the weapon shop, the first thing that immediately catches your attention is the large sword hanging over the door. The sword is covered from blade to hilt with sapphires. The walls are covered from floor to ceiling with racks, upon which hang a variety of weapons, from large, impressive swords that only a master warrior could handle, to small daggers, for the beginner in combat. A large counter, entirely made from sapphires, dominates the back half of the room. ~ 0 0 0 D1 ~ ~ 0 0 41004 S #41009 The Emerald Magic Shop~ Entering' the magic shop, the most predominant feature is a large, golden cauldron with a large quantity of liquid bubbling and boiling in it. Along all four walls of the shop are shelves made from gold and crystal. On the shelves are rows and rows of flasks and beakers, with strange, inocuous potions in them. A large counter made entirely from emeralds sits in the back of the room. ~ 0 0 0 D3 ~ ~ 0 0 41004 S #41010 Ruby Armor Shop~ Upon entering the armor shop, you catch your breath at all the beautiful armors decoratively displayed on shelves, hanging from racks, and one especially impressive set of armor hanging from a hook in the ceiling. Along the back wall is a counter made entirely of rubies. Through a door next to the counter you can hear the unmistakable sounds of someone making new armor to be sold. The only exit is back the way you came. ~ 0 0 0 D1 ~ ~ 0 0 41005 S #41011 Diamond Inn and Pub~ Stepping inside the pub, a sense of peace and security overwhelms you. This is a place where the citizens of Crystal City come to relax and have a pint or two. A cheery fireplace warms the room. Several people are gathered around the fire listening to an aged bard tell tales of his adventures throughout the realm. In one corner are three tables for people to sit at and have a nice private conversation away from the hustle and bustle of the pub. Across from the set of tables is an ornately decorated bar, made almost entirely of diamonds. To the north of here is a set of stairs that goes up to the second floor of the inn. ~ 0 0 0 D0 ~ ~ 0 0 41013 D3 ~ ~ 0 0 41005 S #41012 The Main Street of Crystal City~ Walking along the main street, you still look down occasionally in wonder to see the street completely paved with gold, crystal, and various types of gems. Most prevalent in this section of the street are amethyst, diamonds, and sapphires. The street continues north, or you can go back south towards the southern city gate. ~ 0 0 0 D0 ~ ~ 0 0 41002 D2 ~ ~ 0 0 41001 S #41013 The Diamond Stairway~ Walking away from the hustle and bustle of the pub, you enter into a small alcove. The most predominant feature in this room is the large, crystal stairway that winds its way up to the second floor of the inn. To the right of the stairway sits a small desk, made entirely of diamonds. Behind the desk sits a wizened old man, selling keys to the rooms above. ~ 0 0 0 D2 ~ ~ 0 0 41011 D4 ~ ~ 0 0 41014 S #41014 A Hallway in the Diamond Inn~ Ascending' the crystal stairway, the sense of peace that was felt downstairs is doubly overwhelming on this floor. A long hallway stretches to the north, with doors on either side of the hallway. The doors are made of diamonds, and the walls are made from crystal and inlaid with diamonds. The carpet is a rich burgundy color, and walking along it, you realize how plush it feels underfoot. The hallway stretches for quite a distance, and doors are evenly spaced throughout the hall. The hallway continues to the north, there are doors to the east and west of here, and it is possible to go back south towards the top of the stairway. ~ 0 0 0 D0 ~ ~ 0 0 41016 D1 ~ ~ 0 0 41021 D2 ~ ~ 0 0 41014 D3 ~ ~ 0 0 41020 S #41016 The End of the Hallway~ Reaching the end of the hallway, the most predominant feature here is the door immediately in front of you. It is made entirely of diamonds, but it is also inlaid with several other types of gems. Emeralds, rubies, sapphires, and other types of gems can be seen glittering in the light. There are two doors on either side of the hallway, but they pale in comparison to the door immediately to the north. Beholding this marvelous sight, you realize that someone very important or very powerful must reside here. ~ 0 0 0 D0 ~ ~ 0 0 41017 D1 ~ ~ 0 0 41023 D2 ~ ~ 0 0 41015 D3 ~ ~ 0 0 41022 S #41017 The Diamond Suite~ Entering the diamond suite, you gaze in awe at the marvelous sight; and what a marvelous sight to behold. The carpet is rich, plush, and luxuriant. The walls are completely made from diamonds. In one corner of the room is a large bed, luxuriously' made up in crimson satin pillows, a crimson quilt, and crimson satin sheets. On either side of the bed are two large oak night tables. On either of the tables are a set of candles, all of which are lit, providing a very romantic atmosphere. Across from the bed is a closet, its doors ornately adorned with gems of all types. Inside the closet are several richly made gowns, suits, and finely decorated formal wear. The only exit is back out to the hall. ~ 0 0 0 D2 ~ ~ 0 0 41016 S #41018 A Guest Room in the Diamond Inn~ Upon entering the room, your feet sink into plush, navy blue carpeting. Finely made tapestries, paintings, and wall hangings of all types adorn the walls. The tapestries and wall hangings are inlaid with gold and diamonds, as well as a few other types of gems, including amethyst and emerald. In the center of the room stands a medium-sized bed, made up in a navy blue quilt, with navy blue pillows at the head of the bed. Under the quilt you can just barely see white satin sheets. On the right side of the bed sits a night table with a small oil lamp atop the table. Across from the bbed is a small closet, in which guests may put their belongings if they wish.
