Locus is the last of the emerald warriors, elite fighters created by the
god Didiums before the fall of Thalos.  Massive, ominous, silent, he is
completely crafted of emerald, right down to his boots.  No one knows what
happened to the emerald warriors - perhaps they fell in the defense of
Thalos, or were captured by enterprising collectors - but it matters not. 
Locus knows that he was the first, now he believes he is the last.  Now he
stands guard at the entrance of Daggermoon, as immovable as the rock from
which he was born.

stench from the hole in the floor overpowers everything.  The door out has
long been caved under years of rock, and foilage has started to sprout in
the cracks.

depths, and jellyfish float aimlessly in the tide.

The Light Forest~

Covered Walkway~
A small stream runs under the covered walkway between the sections of the
keep.  Stout oak beams run overhead, small pots of incense hanging from
every other log.  Carved wooden serpents snake their way around the railings
and above them tiny wooden birds flutter in frozen time.  To either side,
the stream curves off into the misty, moss covered walls.

A Cramped Little Store~
Past the open door is a small and cramped room.  The ceiling is barely 6
feet high, and the shelves crammed with ancient relics take up every inch of
that height.  The only light in the room comes from a covered candle
standing on a little counter at the far end of the room.  The closely packed
shelves on both sides of the room make moving hard.

An Unused Passage~
Blue light fills every atom of the room, emanating from the giant blue
diamond standing in the center of the room.  All around it lies webbing,

An Unused, Dusty Passage~
The cobwebs are so thick here that they could be mistaken for the walls. 
Lumps and bumps of something are stuck throughout the cavern of webs, some
even moving.  Clouds of dust fly with every step in unearthly cavern, long
undisturbed, long alone.  The scritch scratch of whatever creature created
these webbings echos against the walls from the north.

Overlooking the Central Promenade~
High above the main promenade, a small walkway rims the great rotunda. 
Hundreds of candles surround the rim, providing the warm golden light that
can be seen below.  A grisly reminder of the past, each panel of the rotunda
rim contains the skull of a human defender frozen in a death scream.  Small
doors can be seen at the north and south end of the rotunda.

A small hallway stretches from north to south, completely devoid of
light.  There are no windows here, and the stale air reveals that this hall
has not been used for a long time.  The stone walls are cold, and a thin

A Derelict Attic~
Cobwebs cover every inch of this long forgotten room.  The marble floor
has started to crack from age, and the stone columns are buckling in their
foundations.  Wooden chests, glass bottles, and containers of all shapes and

slither and clack in the shadows, out of sight, and hopefully, out of mind.

Cavernous Harbor~
Peaceful waves lap at the wooden pier that stretches from the cave door
far into deep water.  The wax and wane of the tides has long ago turned the
pier green with mussels and barnacles.  Glowing lanterns set on poles
provide illumination for this dim corner of the harbor, untouched by natural
light.  Massive elven ships, sleek in their unearthliness, silently bob in
the waves awaiting use.

A Peaceful Atrium~

Under a Skylight~

Balcony Over the Cliffs~

yards, a mini-ballroom itself.  Every so often a particularly large wave
will rise above the balcony, then dash itself back onto the rocks,
shattering into a faerie mist.  Behind, the spires of Daggermoon reach ever
upwards into the sky.

A small camp can be made out on the beach far below.  There is no way back

At the Gates of Daggermoon~
Gossamer spires reach for the sky, nearly disappearing into the clouds. 
Though fragile in appearance, they have weathered hundreds of invasions,
thousands of years, and countless storms.  The giant double gates of the
keep, over 40 feet tall, stand open.  They have been painted a dark blue,
and three columns of nine giant golden studs run down each gate.  The keep
looks like it was carved out of a mountain, a pile of rubble resting at the
end of a high cliff jutting into the sea.  A wide stone bridge crosses over
the gap between the mainland and the island of the keep.

The Main Antechamber~
Another pair of massive red wooden gates stand guard right inside the
main gates.  Six massive red wooden pillars to either side of the open
doorway support the ceiling.  Candles have been placed at regular intervals
along the walls, casting their golden glow about.  The ceiling above is
covered in complex patterns of clouds and mountains.  The outer gates lie to
the south, while the hall continues to the east and west.

Nine golden candles mounted on silver candelbras surround a bronze

Much love and attention has been put into this, the centerpiece of the
great hall.  A giant rotunda is straight above, lit by evenly spaced candles

grey grains of marble set into the four points of the compass.

Eastern Rotunda~
Recent renovations have been added to this part of the hall.  Dust from

The huge wall-height relief starts from the south and continues to the

inappropriate places, making a simple trip to the desk at the center of the

parchments and dried inkwells.  The bookshelves along the wall are stuffed
to the brim with countless books.

A plain stone slab has served as a bench at this end of the balcony for

the elements are born on this unprotected balcony.

A Smokey Tunnel~
Hickory torches line the brick walls of this intermediary tunnel.  The
flickering flames cast their shadows against the check-boarded brick floor
and arched ceiling, stretching the apparent distance of this path.  A fine
mist bellows from the east, steam rising from the hot brick after a rain
shower.

An Open Courtyard~
An entire village square has been condensed into this respectively sized
courtyard.  Steam rises from the cobbled stones arranged in rings around the
central flagstone, wet after a rainstorm.  All around the square, wood and
thatched establishments of business are open for business, and elves of all
paths mingle in commerce.  High fortress walls rise beyond the low roofs, a
reminder of the more dangerous outside world.

A Bustling Cafeteria~
Armor, weapons, and war trophies line the walls and rafters of this fine

filled with rowdy gangs of elves.  Heady scents of roasting meat and

southern end of the hall.  A stairway at the north end of the room leads to
the next floor.

around with uncommon grace, a strange sight in comparison to their harsh
surroundings.  A beaten bronze sign hangs over the first beam in the room.

Crowded and Steamed Kitchen~
Cooks and cleaners alike scramble busily around the numerous monstrous

west, and in return is a steady flow of empty dishes.

Secret Passage~
Giant stone steps lead down immediately from the stone slab, surprisingly
light, overhead.  The torches which congregate in the four corners of this
room provide illumination in the dank atmosphere of water drops and moss. 
Dark green moss, or fungus, grows out of control on both sides of the stone
steps and on the level ceiling, seeping through the cracks in the stonework
but the floor is quite clean.

Another Secret Passage~
Oppressive walls of black stone close on you in a claustrophic tunnel of
reflective darkness.  Strands of overgrown moss hangs down from the ceiling,
almost touching the dusty floor.  Tiny spiders skitter out of the light and
into the few shadows settled in the corners, where the bright golden candles
do not reach.

Meeting Place~

broken crates and discarded wrappings are piled into an unseemly mess where
a thin fuzz of fungi begins to grow.

Crypt Entrance~
A lowered ceiling is the only physical indication that this part of the
cellar is different, but there is a feeling of inherent wrongness in the
air.  The silence is thundering, pounding, constant, and not single scratch
wanders in from elsewhere.  A strange sight lies to the south.  A lone
masoleum, stone and mortar, stands amidst an underground cemetary. 
Countless faceless tombstones rest in the clingly fog that covers the ground
below, a few bare feet about the vaunted ceiling of the vast under ground
catacombs.

by the precious stones.  Robust red pillars run up and down the walls of the
room with the cardinal directions engraved on each.

on the other end of the tomb.  Tattered banners in faded colors reminescent
of glory and honor hang from rotting wooden beams.  Cracked marble pillars
line the side walls, choked by thin strands of upward-bound ivy.
