Ishmael~
Ishmael is here, hawking his wares.
~
Ishmael is a very skinny fellow - so skinny, in fact, that his wooden leg
is roughly the same diameter as his real one. He deals in the import
business, and his attire reflects his trade, sparkling with pretty
rhinestones and beautiful brocade. His skinny, hooked nose draws attention
from his clothes up to his tanned, thin face, and makes his shiny brown eyes
seem squinty and devious.

Mykono~
Mykono is carefully mending torn sails.
~
Mykono is a short, withered man who has spent almost all of his life
creating and repairing sails for the many ships that stop at the Port of
Aachen. His work has left him permanently hunched over, and his hands are
so calloused that it has made it nearly impossible for Mykono to take care
of himself. Long white hair runs unkempt down his back, snarling towards
the ends of the strands, and his clothing is covered with stains and spots.

who have been in the same compant for too long. Dark hair flows across his
wrinkled forehead, accenting the solemn brown of his eyes, and his mouth is
turned down at the corners. A life of cargo inspection and tariff
collection calls for a harsh devotion to the job, oftentimes.

The largest of the long wooden piers that support the Port of Aachen,
Shruna is capable of hosting up to six ships at one time. At the present

narrow origins by the shore. The surface of the pier turns to an upward
angle, affording a panoramic view of the greater area of Aachen to the

jagged rocks jut from the sea on either side of the narrow path, remnants of

Not far south of here, the jetty terminates in a tall, white lighthouse.
The blocks of stone have gradually given way to the living rock, part of a
natural formation protruding from the water. This was once a stony island,
but now it is a wide part of this jetty. Patches of stringy grass cling
haphazardly to bits of sparse earth caught in cracks in the stone, evidence
that this section of ground is usually above the waves.
