Desc There is a stillness to this path that is at once comforting and unsettling. 
The thick trunks of the trees combined with the heavy undergrowth make it 
difficult to see far in any direction off of the path. The path itself seems 
well used, and is free of weeds and plants. The path splits into two seperate

Name A Path Amongst the Trees~
Desc The trees surrounding this path grow strong and tall, their branches 
reaching and meeting overhead. The foliage allows only a bit of light to 
filter through, creating dancing shadows on the ground with each whisper of 
the wind. It's strangely quiet, and though you can hear the occasional 
rustle indicating the passage of a small animal, there are no sounds of 
birds in the trees. The trail curves almost gently, extending to the south 
and northeast.

Name A Small Clearing~
Desc This small clearing is more the connection of several trails than a true 
clearing. The ground has been worn  smooth with the passage of many feet. 
The variety of trees bordering the clearing grow closely together preventing 
you from seeing very far into the undergrowth. Five trails lead off from 
this clearing, to the north, the northwest, the west, the southwest and the
south.

Name Beside the Standing Stones~
Desc The trees have been cleared from this area, or perhaps they never grew here. 
Before you stand a series of large, stones arranged roughly in a circle. 
Each stone is about twenty feet high, and five feet in depth. One cannot 
help but wonder how these stones came to be here, or who created this place.

Name Before a Small Cave~
Desc The forest path has led to a small embankment, which banks a sparkling 
brook. The trees are as thick here as elsewhere near by, growing so closely 
together that you cannot see through them deeper than a few feet. In the 
embankment itself, you notice a small opening in the earth supported by 
roughly hewn timbers, the entrance to a cave.

Name Before the Oak Tree~
Desc The path ends abruptly at the base of a huge oak tree. Towering hundreds of 
feet above your head, the tree's trunk is enormous and the bark is gnarled 
and withered. Some sort of moss hangs from the branches brushing the ground 
and creating a secluded area, free from prying eyes. Some crude steps lead
up to a large hole in the tree. The hole is more than spacious enough to 
climb inside.

Name The Grove of Giving~
Desc You find yourself in a small cultivated wood. The trees around you are in 
excellent shape. Their leaves have a luscious green shine to them and none 
of the firm branches seem out of place. One larger branch stands out and 
crosses the lane that leads into this grove. It seems right here, as if the 
tree it belongs too placed it there for some reason or for some purpose.

Name A Low-ceilinged Cave~
Desc This cave, dug into the earth of the hillside, is roughly circular though it 
doesn't seem that whoever created it gave a lot of thought to aesthetics. 
The ceiling is low and torches that cast more smoke than light have been 
attached to the walls. Through the dim light you can make out some broken 
axes and swords, cast aside and left where they were dropped.

Name Inside the Oak Tree~
Desc This fairly large, circular room looks quite inhabited, despite it being the 
inside of an oak tree. The walls, it's bark, are smooth and light brown in 
colour and are riddled with roots and vein-like twigs growing up them. There 
is no obvious source of light in here, but the walls just seem to glow 
softly. The floor is like a chopped off tree and shows the circles of the 
tree stump. Counting them would take years, yet a mere fraction of the time 
this tree has stood here.

Name The Standing Stones~
Desc Surrounded by towering stones, any sounds in this glade seem muted. The 
stones themselves are arranged in a circle, thirteen of them in total. You 
notice that three of them, the largest of the thirteen, are grouped closer 
together at the western edge of the circle. How the stones were brought here 
is unclear, but it is certain that this is no natural formation.
