text The component section has been divided into nine categories.  Not all of the 
components listed in these categories are in the game at the moment.  I went 
through and thought up as many components possible and alternative names so 
in the future, these will never have to be added into the component charts 
and the code of what to register.  My idea is that the code will register 
the group of what the spell will use.  Example: barkskin would use category 
(wood) component: all So the code would register every material thats in the 
wood category and any object's material that is in the wood category would 
work with barkskin.  Other spells will be more specific.  Example: 
fireshield uses categories rock and earth component: coal, ash Another 
problem that could occur would be if someone set material on an object for 
example to ashes, so when these words are put into the categories the word 
ash would have to have: ash, ashes, another example: leaf, leaves

works on objects, and will increase the variety in objects throughout the 
realm.  The plus-to-skills system, In my opinion should not be given to 
mortals.  Reasons being the way the system is works and the fact of just 
what these items do I think that only one item of each skill should be 
available in the game thus no multiple items of pluses to backstab for 
example that would be way out of balance.  Leaving this to only immortals 
areas, it would be alot easier for us to do, rather than having to send a 
list to every builder everytime a new plus-to-skills item is imped and 
cannot be used.  `1`1The way the system works is, first off no objects under level 20 ( can have 
these skills added to them.  In `RHELP SKBAL-CHART`X you can see the required 
level an item must be to get certain skills.  Refering to the `RSKBAL-CHART`X 
you will notice that the skill backstab is towards the bottom at the 75-79 
range what this means is that the item you create with backstab skill added 
to it has to be at least level 75 and at level 75 then it can have +1% added 
to backstab notice is says 75-79 so at level 76 that would be plus 2% and so 
on to level 79 where it would be at 5%.  All items have a 1-91 global 
percentage of 10%.  What this means is that, for example, the language 
skills is set under the levels 20-24, meaning its max percentage would be at 
level 24 at 5%, its global percentage would be 10%.  The guidelines for 
making an item above its 5% max percentage are as follows using the language

can be made with 5%.  Or so on with one as 1% 9 more can be made with 1% 
etc.  Realm would keep track of the items their vnums, and what they do, 
would then be put into a helpfile for fast access on what is in and what is 
already to its realm limits.  I think this about covers it, knowing me I 
probably forgot a few more things, I'd like for All of Realm and Balance to 
check this systematics chart in `RHELP SKBAL-CHART`X and tell me if everything 
looks good, or if you feel that the level ranges on some of the skills need 
to be upped or lowered.

text It was a frosty morn on the Month of Frost Blight 1218AK. On the day of 
despair oh so fitting was a time that led to my death. I was preparing for a 
class within the Mages Academy around 7am. I reached over and put down a 
ghost like tiara given to me by whom I was told was Suhl. I suppose I should 
start with the whole story...
 
I have two loves, Traolin and Ariaken, my heart is between them both and I 
hath confessed a love beyond imagining to both. Judge me as thou wilt I was 
out but two weeks ago in an open field, all three of us were there 
discussing a perculiar draconian who would not leave Trao alone, he was a 
funny sort- but I stray from my story. I lifted my head and in silent 
prayer, i prayed to Lanthos to give me strength to make choice between my 
loves.
 
At that moment a gaunt shadowy figure appeared before us and proclaimed not 
either deserved my love and he bestowed a betrothal gift apon me, a tiara 
that dazzled mine eye with it's beauty, so much in fact I became unaware of 
my actions for a short time.
 
What took place next was I was fussed over and they both feared for my 
safety - quite flattering dont you think? When Ariaken told Traolin just 
exactly why he called me his love he was unmistakably upset. Traolin did not 
know I felt as strongly for the dark knight who I hath grown so fond of 
these past weeks. He immediately stormed off, his passions ripping him to 
shreds no doubt for I saw it in his eyes.
 
This morning, he gated to me, we argued and he used fairly rough treatment, 
I wept and looked deeply into his eyes but for consequence had it he found 
not the heart this time to forgive me. He asked me to come with him for he 
sent me a parchment previously he was being hunted for his foul deeds 
towards Endomar and the Academy of Magic. I followed him obediantly outside 
into the cold bitting air of the morning where we walked briskly for a few 
miles arguing. It got to the point where he griped my arm and shook me 
violently, I returned a stare full of hate and love at the same time, I 
admit I do still truely love him beyond anything imaginable - and Lanthos 
strike me down if I feel otherwise.
 
He charmed me and from what I remember his voice softened its edge, looking 
into mine eyes he promised me that he would set me free and in doing so 
touched my cheek and sent me to a dreamland. After that I felt the essence 
of my being slip away and my heart slow down. I was unconscience and before 
I could wake from my slumber I had a dagger plunged lovingly into mine 
chest. I awoke painlessly, red essence streaming from my heart, I crawled on 
my hands and knees a fair distance away from him before he delivered me into 
eternal sleep.
 
I forgive Traolin and love him for the hate, for the love, and for 
deliverance.

text . Many a time your notes may seem neglected by the immortal staff, which is 
usually not the case. The main reason for you not getting a direct answer 
is we receive so many notes, that we choose not to answer many, else we'd 
spend all our online time writing notes. 
 
 Sometimes, your note many indeed get lost amid our huge mail. Don't take 
it personal :) Spam can always hide a note or two. If you do think your 
note needs an answer, forward it again to us, after a week.
 
 Most notes, though, won't really require an answer from us. In an effort 
to answer as many notes as possible, I wrote this list of general answers, 
that apply to 99% of the following cases: 
 
 `Cbugs and typos: `=?we read them, and add them to the coders todo-list. These 
notes do not require an answer. 
 
 `Calign change: `=?both the player and an imm must be online to do this. So, 
after you posted your note, and sent your history, keep an eye for online 
imms. These notes will seldom get answers, unless we think the reasons for 
the request were incomplete. 
 
 `Cquest requests and new quest ideas: `=?we seldom have the time to do 
personalized quests. What we do is save the idea, and if that fits in a 
general quest we are running, we add it in. Ideas are also saved for future 
use. These notes are also seldom answered, unless the idea is to be used 
right away. Do not feel neglected (if it makes you feel better, I was 
promised a quest when I was still a mortal - like 1.5 years ago - and am 
still waiting :p), it is just we imms that are stupidly busy. You might 
consider turning to rpsupport, for help. I am sure they can arrange you 
something :)
 
 `Cideas: `=?we try to read them, and if one stands out we may consider it. Most 
of our decisions on the game dynamics are done in-house by our immortal 
staff, who have a more objective view of the game in general. Also, ideas 
are meant as a discussion forum, not as a place to demand things imped :p 
(btw, we usually skip those *cackle*). 
 
 `Cpkill notes: `=?we look into them all and if we find that something did in 
fact occur that is totally outside the rules we intervene. Otherwise, we 
dont think there is a need for an answer - consider that as 'there was no 
problem'. 
 
 `Cnotes to law:`=? if you write us about a potential cheating, we will look 
at it, and if we find something wrong, it's between us and the cheater. You 
will hardly get a note telling you how we punished the cheater ;p
 
 `Cmob death notes: `=?we have no control over lag, and bad luck. Being killed 
by a mob is part of the game, no one escapes that fate. So, don't bother 
writing notes about that, unless you believe it was a bug, or if it was an 
aggie that was summoned to towns. 
 
 I hope this answers many unanswered past and future notes. I believe I 
have included here all kinds of notes that usually do not receive answers. 
Whenever you send a note and get no answer, refer back to this news, to see 
if it fits in one of the above cases.
