In a Cave~

The path continues here, even as it plunges into the relative darkness of 
an opening in the rock face. Though the path is fairly well worn, the many 
layers of web seem to suggest that this cave houses more spiders than 
most, indicating that either a way of dealing with this "problem" has yet 
to be found, or that most of the travelers in the area don't really mind. 
The path drops steadily away from the mouth of the cave, burrowing deeper 
and deeper into the world.

In a Cave~
~
The last of the light filtering in from the outside world gives way to the 
ever-present night of the underground as the cave winds ever deeper. The 
spiders become all the more densely packed here, though they do not seem 
particularly interested in anything beyond the day-to-day aspects of their 
lives. Oddly enough, the musty smell which is often associated with caves 
seems to be absent from the air here, and a faint smell not entirely 
unlike that of a spring day wafts up from somewhere down below.

In a Cave~
~
Shadows cast by the light from the entrance to the cave can just barely be 
made out, shifting along the cold stone walls in a way reminiscent of 
childhood nightmares. The trail leads further down the steep incline, 
taking all who choose to follow it further and further from the surface 
world. Spiders flit about in the darkness on their tiny little legs, 
instinctively dodging the footfalls of passing travelers.

Nearing a Gate~
~
&OOne going down through the cave will now notice a large gate at the 
bottom of the steep decline, while someone going up might know that it 
leads to the entrance of the cave that they are in. The darkness seems to 
lighten up a bit here as cave nears the gate, as if to call weary 
travelers to it. Silhouettes of humanoid shapes can be seen moving about 
near the gate, but the light is very dim and proves to be misleading.

Entrance to Szithlin, the City of the Drow~
~
Two towers stand on either side of a large gate, black in the shadows of 
the underground, their ominous heights marking the main entrance to 
Szithlin, city of the Drow. Hundreds of feet below the surface, the only 
light here is given off by the few softly flickering torches that adorn 
the walls. A lone guard stands watch here, leering maliciously at 
anyone who dares demand his presence, and the occasional spider can be 
seen, shining with reflected light, as it scurries along the surface of 
the stone.

Down a Cave~
~
The cave grows wider as you get closer to the city, the light becoming 
just bright enough that one can make out veins of iron running through the 
stone of the cave walls. The whole area, however, is covered with thick, 
sticky spider webs.

The Outskirts of Szithlin~

&OThe cave opens wide here as the city can be seen fully now. The city 
seems to be very clean and organized despite the lack of care in some 
parts of the cave. The roads are very neatly laid cobblestone with what 
appears to be a spider design inlaid within them every forty feet or so 
giving the roads a decorative look.

The Lone Grave of the Traitor~

&zHere stands the grave of the traitor Xeigabat. The headstone is much 
smaller then the rest of the graveyard. It rests alone off in a corner of 
the area all by itself away from the rest of the grave sites. The grave 
itself has seen quite a bit of vandalism over the years as no one really 
cares seeing as it is a symbol of dishonor in itself.

Szithlin repair shop~
~
As one enters this room they can feel a breeze of heat circulating in the 
room. A large forge sits in the middle of the room with a bulky Drow male 
pounding out some metal. Many weapons and suits of armor are neatly 
displayed waiting for there owners to return for them. The man pounding 
away near the forge seems very content in his work.

&OMany weapons line the walls here on display. This shop is very neat and 
clean following the precedent of the rest of the city. The weapons

The Armoury~

&OThis room is full of armor display's from around the world. Although 
most of it isn't for sale there is still a nice stock. The drow standing 
behind the counter has a rather stoic look about him as he watches people 
walk in and out of his shop. The man peers at you intently as you browse 
through the shop. There is a stair case near the back of the shop that 
leads up to the jewelry store.

~
The square is very crowded with the mass of the population moving through 
here to get to other parts of town. In the center of the square sits a 
large fountain in the shape of a giant spider spewing water from its 
mouth. The water hits the ground and follows a small trench out of the 
square. To the north the castle can be seen overlooking the city. To the 
west is the residential area and to the east is more shops and other large 
buildings.

&OThe academy stand here high in the sky. The building reaches several 
stories into the air. Many drow students and teachers move about in and

The Academy, Ground Floor~
~
&OThis is the base level of the academy. Class rooms for the students are 
seen to the northwest, southwest. Northeast, and southwest. A large spiral 
staircase leads up to the next level of the tower from the center of the 
room. The floor's bricks have been inlaid with a very large mural of a 
spider filling the whole floor.

Fighter Training~
~
In this room there are no desks at all. There is a large mat in the middle 
of the floor which has the design of a spider on it. The students stand 
around as they watch the teachers lessons paying close attention, for as 
most people would know its not to odd for the teacher to beat the student 
for mis behavior.

The Cafeteria~
~
Many tables sit here in a orderly fashion. Students and facility can be 
seen eating in between there classes. The tables are all lined east to 
west and at the north end is where the food is purchased. There is one 
table near the front which seems to be reserved for the headmaster of the 
school.

Class of Nature~

&OThis room is a bit different from a lot of the other places in town. It 
is full of plants and a few caged animals. There is a teacher walking 
around looking at his pupils as they work on there magic's.

The Room of the Dark Arts~

&OThis room is full of materials that would be used for the arts of dark 
can be seen here. The master of the class sits behind a desk staring 
magic. Everything from shrunken heads to a torture device in the corner 
around at this class, making sure everyone is doing as they were told.

The Middle of the Tower~
~
This is the second floor of the academy. One would notice that the 
students here seem a bit older then the ones on the first floor. This is 
where the more advanced classes take place. This area is a bit more quiet 
then the previous floor, seeing as the more advanced teachers require more

Class of Fighters~
~
As you enter this room you feel a strange force come over your body. It 
seems that it is impossible to use magic in here for some reason. There is 
a zombie like creature in the center of the classroom chained so is cannot 
leave. A trainer stands near it gazing as people go rounds with it.

History Room~
~
This is a classroom for student to learn about the history of the drow. 
There are many desks lined up in rows with the teachers desk at the front 
so that he can look over the class. Nothing much in here really as it is

Warrior Training~

&OThis classroom has no desks what so ever in it. Instead there are 
students walking around in formations and doing close combat training. The

then can be seen striking his own students for messing up.

The Lounge~

&OThis is where the teachers come to relax between classes. There is a 
large table in the center of the room surrounded by several chairs. There 
really isn't much else in here though and it seems that the room is a bit 
under used for its purposes.

The Discipline Room~

Oddly enough this school seems to have some kind of dungeon for its less 
then behaving students. There is no death machines by any means but there 
are means to make people hurt for sure. It would be a good idea to not

The Head Master's Quarters~
~
This is a large room that the head master lives in. Many magical objects 
can be found around as to make the headmasters life easier while not 
working. A large bed rests in the middle of the room looking very inviting

The Meditation Room~
~
Many mats sit here for resting and meditating. Teachers and faculty can be 
seen coming and going here to mediate and rest between classes. The room

A large tower can be seen from here to the west a bit and the road seems

The Pet Shop~

&OStables line the back wall and an almost kind looking drow watches over 
the shop. Animals move around in the stables as they await someone to buy

Graybryn Road~

To the west of here is the center road of the city and to the east a very 
large building can be seen a little ways in the distance. A few Drow 
wearing black robes can be seen moving around here as well as a large

Before the Great Temple of Lloth~
~
&YThe darkness seems to lift slightly near the large black gate at the 
foot of the incline, a seeming invitation to the travelers who've seen fit 
to journey here. The few flickering torches near the gate throw off 
shadows that play across the walls as spectral courtesans dancing to the 
breathless, claustrophobic sounds of the underground.

The Great Temple of Lloth~

&YWithin the temple is about as amazing as the outside. Statues stand in 
the entrance showing the forms of past high priests of Lloth. The floor is 
adorned with a golden mural of a spider with an hourglass shape on its 
back. Worshipers of Lloth move about here going about there ceremonies as 
well as a few dusting the statues and cleaning.

The Great Temple of Lloth~

&YThere is a large marble stair well leading down deeper into the temple. 
The stairwell is a beautiful spiral stair circling its way down to the 
lower depths of the temple. Worshipers walk slowly up and down the stairs, 
but there is plenty of room to move past them if one in a hurry.

The Middle of the Staircase~

&YAs the staircase spirals it takes a stop here for a long corridor. Not

A Long Corridor~
~
&YFrom here one can see the stairwell off to the west but not the end of 
the corridor off to the east. The corridor seems to go for a while and it 
is a little dark, but as absolute darkness.

Nearing the End of the Corridor~

The End of the Corridor~

&YThe corridor ends its eastward walk here. A door to the east and the 
corridor to the west. The door seems to be just a normal door and looks to 
be unlocked. Almost no drow can be seen here even though they populate the 
rest of the temple.

The Room of the High Priestess~

&YThis is the living quarters of the high priestess of Lloth. There is a bed 
along with a table covered in scrolls of holy text. Naturally there are no 
windows being underground just a door leading out.

The Bottom Floor~

&YMany drow worshipers can be seen moving about here on the bottom level.

The Altar of Lloth~
~
&YThis room is pretty large with a wide stair to the alter only a few 
illustrations of spiders. Spider ornaments adorn the alter as well with 
many drow around it preying. There are some temple guards scanning the 
steps. The alter itself is made from very polished gold with silver area 
making sure that no sacrilege is committed here.

The Mystic Realm~
~
&PThe sky swirls with colors, lighting crackles in the sky. This place 
seems to not follow the rules of the normal world as things seem distorted 
and unnatural. A statue of the traitor Xeigabat stands erect here in the 
center of the ruins. There is a large temple to the east dominating the 
area. Loud roars can be heard coming from the east, along with a violent 
shaking of the ground.

Before the Mystic Temple~

&PBright colors fill the sky here as it seems this is a diffrent plane. 
The evil of the traitor is held here in the temple to the east. Loud roars 
can be heard comeing from the temple along with the sound of giant foot 
steps. Looking carefully a large beast can be seen lumbering inside the 
temple.

The Lair of the Bone Wraith~

&PThis room is extremely dark and smelly. A large creature lumbers around 
here waiting for something to feed its hunger for blood. All along the 
ground are scattered numerous, unidentifiable bones.

A Large Cave~
~
To the west is a large drow outpost separating the Underdark from the city 
of the drow. Large buildings can be seen in the underground city going so 
high that they are almost able to touch the very top of the cavern that

The Castle Gates~

&OA large gate blocks the entrance to the castle from just anyone. Guards 
walk about the area watching every move made by anyone in the castle, even

&OLarge pillars and tapestries decorate the area within the castle giving

A large Corridor~
~
Very large tapestries along with pillars and fine carpets give the castle 
a very decorated look to it. The entire hall is immaculate, not a single

The End of the corridors~

A Spiral Staircase~
~
A large spiral staircase leads up into the upper layers of the castle. A 
deep red carpet covers the immaculate halls as decorative as can be.

A Junction~
~
A grand hall leads to several directions. The south leads to the 
magnificent throne room. The east leads to the audience chamber, and the

The Audience Chamber~
~
A large table takes up most of this room as it is where all meetings take 
place. Large intimidating tapestries show depictions of wars fought and 
won by the drow as a way to let those they meet with to know they mean

~
A large throne sits in the middle of the grand throne room. Large

The Guard's Quarters~
~
Large beds rest along the walls and weapon racks adorn the rest of the 
walls where the beds are not. This is the home for the most elite guards 
of the great underground city of the drow, the protectors of the castle.

&OTo the west is the massive coliseum of the city. Warriors can be seen 
coming and going all day and night here to fight and prove themselves. To
