On an Icy Dock~
~
In the crispy frozen air, seaspray feels like knives on the skin. The 
water of the ocean gently bashes against the wooden dock in a way that a 
fist might punch a face. Ice chunks float in the water all around the 
island creating a slush in the sea that keeps eyes from gazing too deep in 
the waters. The land is constantly bombarded by the ocean and the pieces 
of ice are left scattered in a pattern that shows where the last wave hit.

Frost Covered Island~
~
From both sides of the island wind blows hard bringing with it the 
stinging ocean mist. The ground though covered with the tiniest bit of 
grass is hard as stone with its thick layer of permafrost just under the 
surface. Not much protects against the wind as there is no standing trees 
or even tall plants to use as a barrier. Mostly, the only release from the 
harsh surroundings would be to bury deep in the ground, if it is even 
possible in the hardened ground.

A Narrowing Trail~
~
The trail grows awful narrow here, exposing any to what might ly in wait 
in the thick forest growth that lays nearby along each side of the winding 
path. Large bramble bushes can be seen off in the distance to the south, 
the trail also continues north through thick undergrowth.

On A Frozen Island~
~
Layers of frozen ice cover the sand of this beach, along with a few forms 
of arctic vegatation. The meager grasses flip about in the chilled wind as 
sea mist rolls off the ocean in a roaring breath. The ground here seems a 
bit indented as if a large tree in the past had taken root and been pulled 
up by a great force, something the size of the tree or perhaps just a hole 
was dug.

shards of ice which have exploded from the ground in massive proportions.

~
A massive tomb of ice covers a giant creature completely under its cold
depths.  The rugged ground is quite slick due to its icy surface.  A
few giant hills of snow surround the tomb.

The Bottom of a Snow Hill~

Massive hills of snow are both sides of the trail here.  What used to be
a large tree is mostly covered in snow.  The tree branches are encased
in solid ice.  A few animal tracks are visible in the snow.

Within a Protective Igloo~
~
The large icy blocks of the igloo keep the elements of the arctic out. 
There is a small pit in the center of the igloo that is carefully arranged 
to allow small fires for cooking, and warming the igloo itself.  A large 
leathery animal skin makes up a door that leads to the harsh arctic.
