Even more so than elsewhere on the ship, the wooden planks gleam and the brass rails shine. Since you know officers would not soil their hands to clean, obviously crewmen were occasionally allowed on the quarter deck to clean. ~ 1 8 8 D0 ~ ~ 0 -1 3827 D1 ~ ~ 0 -1 3831 D2 ~ ~ 0 -1 3833 S #3831 The Quarter Deck~ ~ Something seems oddly out of place here on the quarter deck. It doesn't take you long to figure out what it is.. a small, but very well crafted rug lies on the deck. Standing on the rug is the ship's captain. You find yourself wondering again how the ship came to be wedged so tightly in such a very unlikely spot. You wonder if your earlier impression that a giant hand reached up from the bottom of the crevice and pulled the ship down to its doom could possibly be the correct one. Of course, that in turn makes you wonder where the hand came from.. ~ 1 8 8 D0 ~ ~ 0 -1 3830 D1 ~ ~ 0 -1 3834 D2 ~ ~ 0 -1 3836 S #3834 The Quarter Deck~ ~ The wooden deck gleams, and you find yourself once more impressed with how clean the pirates keep the ship. From here the officers looked down upon the crew. From up here, the ship's captain gave his orders. The ship's wheel, which controlled the ship's direction, is near the back of the quarterdeck. Regular sailors were rarely, if ever, permitted on the quarter deck. ~ 1 8 8 D0 ~ ~ 0 -1 3834 D1 ~ ~ 0 -1 3838 D3 ~ ~ 0 -1 3836 D5 ~ ~ 0 -1 3797 S #3838 The Quarter Deck~ ~ As elsewhere about the ship, the sides of the chasm loom close to the sides of the ship, enfolding it in a rocky underwater tomb. You laugh at yourself, and continue on. ~ 1 8 13 D1 ~ ~ 0 -1 3919 D3 ~ ~ 0 -1 3917 R M 0 3750 2 3918 S #3919 In the Lair~ ~ The floor slopes up sharply here, and your head soon breaks out from under the water. You find yourself wishing you had stayed underwater. It seems that the creatures out in the cavern were only the young. And compared to their mother, they were also very neat eaters. The island here in this underground cavern seems made more of bodies than ground.. ~ 1 12 13 D3 ~ ~ 0 -1 3918 R M 0 3767 1 3919 R G 0 3793 1 S #3920 Under the Waterfall~ ~ The waterfall cascades down into this large hidden cavern. It seems you are, indeed, under the waterfall. Unfortunately, the Captain's log did not mention anything about a guardian of the treasure.. Although *you* could not get out that way, you assume the mare can use Kelpie magic to get out through the waterfall. Alas, knowing that still doesn't tell you how to get past the mare to the treasure.. ~ 1 4 13 D6 ~ ~ 0 -1 3916 S #3926 Along the Main Mast~ ~ Looking down, you can see the ship spread out below you. It seems almost as if it is cradled in a giant rocky hand. From up here, you can clearly see three fingers on one side of the ship, and what could be a thumb along the other side. As you get closer, you also realise the ship isn't in as pristine condition as you thought. ~ 1 8 8 D4 ~ ~ 0 -1 3910 D5 ~ ~ 0 -1 3927 S #3927 Along the Main Mast~ ~ As you move down along the main mast, you realise the rocky walls are closing in. You have no other option than to go up or down along the main mast. Up close, you fancy you can see fine wrinkles in what couldn't possibly actually be a great rocky hand. ~ 1 8 8 D4 ~ ~ 0 -1 3926 D5 ~ ~ 0 -1 3928 S #3928 Along the Main Mast~ ~ Working your way past tattered fragments of what were once the sails, you pause to gaze down at the ship. Despite having been underwater for who knows how long, the ship appears to be well maintained. Beneath the water, the wood of the main deck seems to shine, and the brass railings gleam as if recently polished. ~ 1 8 8 D4 ~ ~ 0 -1 3927 D5 ~ ~ 0 -1 3929 S #3929 Along the Main Mast~ ~ You wonder at the courage of the sailors who once scrambled up and down this mast as the ship made its way across the seas. They probably didn't even have a fly spell! You make your way carefully along the pole. After all, *you* aren't a sailor! ~ 1 8 8 D4 ~ ~ 0 -1 3928 D5 ~ ~ 0 -1 3930 S #3930 Along the Main Mast~ ~ You wonder if you will ever make your way down to the ship. The length of the pole only reinforces your conviction that the impression you had of a rocky hand must be false.. nothing could have a hand *that* big. ~ 1 8 8 D4 ~ ~ 0 -1 3929 D5 ~ ~ 0 -1 3931 S #3931 Along the Main Mast~ ~ You have almost reached the ship, and before and behind you are the forecastle and quarter decks. Looking before you, you see the forecastle deck has something sticking out of it. You presume that would be the remains of the fore mast. You fancy you see movement on the decks, but surely that's just fish.. ~ 1 8 8 D4 ~ ~ 0 -1 3930 D5 ~ ~ 0 -1 3932 S #3932 Along the Main Mast~ ~ At last! You see the main deck spread out around you. The wood of the deck seems to gleam up close. You wonder how long the ship has been here. Surely not long, or it wouldn't still look so well preserved. ~ 1 8 8 D0 ~ ~ 0 -1 3800 D1 ~ ~ 0 -1 3803 D2 ~ ~ 0 -1 3805 D3 ~ ~ 0 -1 3802 D4 ~ ~ 0 -1 3931 S #3933 Out of the Storm~ ~ You breathe a sigh of relief, having finally broken free of the storm. It was beginning to seem like you had been in there forever! Not far distant, you can see land. You could explore the ocean more, or return to the relative safety of the land. The storm waits at your back. ~ 1 4 1 S #3934 Yet another mob chute, oh my!~ ~ ~ 1 4 1 D4 ~ ~ 0 -1 3870 R M 0 3752 5 3934 R M 0 3752 5 3934 R M 0 3752 5 3934 R M 0 3752 5 3934 R M 0 3752 5 3934 S #3935 Yet another mob chute, oh my!~ ~ ~ 1 4 1 D4 ~ ~ 0 -1 3870 R M 0 3753 5 3935 R E 1 3757 1 16 R M 0 3753 5 3935 R E 1 3757 1 16 R M 0 3753 5 3935 R E 1 3757 1 16 R M 0 3753 5 3935 R E 1 3757 1 16 R M 0 3753 5 3935 R E 1 3757 1 16 S #3936 Yet another mob chute, oh my!~ ~ ~ 1 4 1 D4 ~ ~ 0 -1 3870 R M 0 3754 6 3936 R M 0 3754 6 3936 R M 0 3754 6 3936 R M 0 3754 6 3936 R M 0 3754 6 3936 S #3937 Yet another mob chute, oh my!~ ~ ~ 1 536870916 1 D1 ~ ~ 0 -1 3888 D3 ~ ~ 0 -1 3886 R M 0 3755 2 3937 R M 0 3756 2 3937 R M 0 3757 2 3937 R M 0 3758 2 3937 R M 0 3755 2 3937 R M 0 3756 2 3937 R M 0 3757 2 3937 R M 0 3758 2 3937 S #3938 Yet another mob chute, oh my!~ ~ ~ 1 4 1 D0 ~ ~ 0 -1 3889 D2 ~ ~ 0 -1 3890 R M 0 3758 4 3938 R M 0 3758 4 3938 R M 0 3757 4 3938 R M 0 3757 4 3938 R M 0 3756 4 3938 R M 0 3756 4 3938 R M 0 3755 4 3938 R M 0 3755 4 3938 S #3939 Yet another mob chute, oh my!~ ~ ~ 1 4 1 S #3940 A Tiny Hidden Graveyard~ ~ A small clearing lies at the end of an almost invisible trail, hidden from view from above. The clearing is carpeted with thick lush green grass, an anomoly in this place. Wildflowers abound in profusion, and a small brook trickles toward the river, babbling quietly to itself. Three mounds lie within the clearing. A haunting melody teases at your mind, barely audible yet teasing your senses. ~ 1 4 2 D4 ~ ~ 2048 -1 3873 E brook~ As your attention focuses more closely on the brook running thru the clearing, you realise that along with its babbling it is the source of the melody you can barely hear. Focusing closer, you can even make out the words.. &wYou and I, moving in the dark, bodies close but souls apart. Shattered smiles, secrets unrevealed. I need to know the way you feel. And I'll give you everything I am, and everything I want to be. I'll put it in your hands if you could open up to me. Oh, can't we ever get beyond this wall? Cuz all I want is just once to see you in the light, but you hide behind the color of the night. I can't go on, running from the past. Love has torn away this mask. And now like clouds, like rain, I'm drowning, and I blame it all on you. And I've lost, God save me. And I'll give you everything I am, and everything I want to be. I'll put it in your hands if you could open up to me. Oh, can't we ever get beyond this wall? Cuz all I want is just once to see you in the light, But you hide behind the color of the night. God save me. Everything I am, and everything I want to be, oh, can't we ever get beyond this wall? Cuz all I want is just once forever and again. I'm waiting for you, I'm standing in the light, But you hide behind the color of the night. Please come out from the color of the night. ~ E mounds~ Each mound lies beneath a marker. Clearly the mounds are graves of loved ones. ~ E obelisk Resifio~ As you gaze more closely at the translucent green and purple stone which marks the grave of Resifio, you realised there are other words inscribed beneath the name. They say "Here lies Resifio Moonblade, who was once upon a time beloved;husband of Fya Morningstar. Walk in peace throughout eternity." ~ E gravestone john~ A small gravestone says simply "John, 2004" ~ E statue ardentstar~ A statue of cherubim surmounts a monument inscribed "Ardentstar of Solace". ~ S #3945 A Hidden Shop~ ~ Amazing that there should be a fully intact, indeed, extremely neat and well kept shop below the ruins of the cottage. The shopkeeper is a lovely witch by the name of Miralana, and she stands ready to fill you order. You wonder if you should ask this fine, but ghostly, woman about the ruins of the cottage, or how she came to be a ghost, but something wise inside you warns you that some questions are far better left unasked. ~ 1 2097156 13 D4 ~ ~ 0 -1 3865 R M 0 3759 1 3945 R G 1 3783 1 R G 1 3782 1 R G 1 3781 1 R G 1 3780 1 R G 1 3779 1 R G 1 3778 1 R G 1 3777 1 R G 1 3776 1 R G 1 3775 1 R G 1 3774 1 R G 1 3773 1 R G 1 3772 1 R G 1 3771 1 R G 1 3770 1 R G 1 3769 1 R G 1 3768 1 S #3946 Some Pirate Hell~ ~ Perhaps this is where dead pirates go, as they await their chance to prey upon the living.. ~ 1 4 1 S #3947 The Sandrat Warren~ ~ Sandrats everywhere! ~ 1 4 1 S #3948 The Kelpie's Lair~ ~ Apparently the legends are true.. If you mount a Kelpie he will drag you off to a watery death, deep below the ocean in his lair. Legend also has it that if you should dismount from a Kelpie, he will turn on you viciously. You wonder if that is true too. The bones in the water around you would seem to indicate a certain amount of truth in that part of the legend as well.. ~ 1 4 1 R M 0 3769 1 3948 R E 0 3767 1 16 R G 0 3794 1 R P 0 3780 1 3794 R O 0 3794 1 3948 R P 0 3780 1 3794 S #3949 The Fish Hatchery~ ~ A wondrous profusion of fish and marine life in every possible shape and size can be found here.
