Writing as list owner:
Needed: WebMaster for MUD-Dev
Needed: Supporting graphics for MUD-Dev web site.
Rewards: Thanks (and a cold shoulder to cry on).
I'm finally ready to start hosting a supporting web site for MUD-Dev
-- but I need someone to write it. Quite simply, I just don't have
time right now (this will be my 6'th 70+ hour work week in a row), and
the last time I played with HTML was before Netscape was even a thought
in Marc's noggin.
The purpose of the site will be three-fold:
-- Support of MUD-Dev, its archives, summaries, etc.
-- Code repository (clients, servers, snippets, libraries, other
such).
-- Documentation repository for MUD related documents, papers, etc.
The supporting platform will be Linux/Alpha with Apache. I'd like
something clean, simple, and lynx friendly. That doesn't mean no
graphics, JAVA, etc, just that the site should be fully usable under
Lynx as well as the more graphical offerings.
Web designs I like:
-- Hin's, <A HREF="http://home.ica.net/~hin/index.html">http://home.ica.net/~hin/index.html</A>, (great graphic code
data too (he worked on Tomb Raider))
-- IBM, <A HREF="http://www.ibm.com">http://www.ibm.com</A>, good and elegant use of javascript
_without_ requiring javascript support (or waiting for it to DL) --
see the drop down cascaded memus.
-- Rob Malda, <A HREF="http://slashdot.org/malda/">http://slashdot.org/malda/</A>, horrible typesetting,
decent layout.
