If a creature has grown up with infravision, or sonar, then they will label an item the same as some one used to human vision. E.G. a dog will be recognized as a dog no matter what senses used to identify it, because that person is _used_ to recognizing it. Forcing the RL player to decipher a picture or representation that they are not used to will only take away from gameplay, and wont add anything worthwhile (imo). If a player has a device that allows him to see different ranges in the spectrum, then perhaps it would be worth it, but i doubt unless it was very well done that it would add any to game play. </PRE> <!--X-Body-of-Message-End--> <!--X-MsgBody-End--> <!--X-Follow-Ups--> <HR> <ul compact><li><strong>Follow-Ups</strong>: <ul> <li><strong><A NAME="00578" HREF="msg00578.html">Re: [MUD-Dev] The MLI Project</A></strong> <ul compact><li><em>From:</em> Ling <K.L.Lo-94#student,lboro.ac.uk></li></ul> </UL></LI></UL> <!--X-Follow-Ups-End--> <!--X-References--> <UL><LI><STRONG>References</STRONG>: <UL> <LI><STRONG><A NAME="00560" HREF="msg00560.html">Re: [MUD-Dev] The MLI Project</A></STRONG> <UL><LI><EM>From:</EM> cg#ami-cg,GraySage.Edmonton.AB.CA (Chris Gray)</LI></UL></LI> <LI><STRONG><A NAME="00572" HREF="msg00572.html">Re: [MUD-Dev] The MLI Project</A></STRONG> <UL><LI><EM>From:</EM> Ling <K.L.Lo-94#student,lboro.ac.uk></LI></UL></LI> </UL></LI></UL> <!--X-References-End--> <!--X-BotPNI--> <UL> <LI>Prev by Date: <STRONG><A HREF="msg00572.html">Re: [MUD-Dev] The MLI Project</A></STRONG> </LI> <LI>Next by Date: <STRONG><A HREF="msg00574.html">Dynamic Loading of Modules (was: Back on the list)</A></STRONG> </LI> <LI>Prev by thread: <STRONG><A HREF="msg00572.html">Re: [MUD-Dev] The MLI Project</A></STRONG> </LI> <LI>Next by thread: <STRONG><A HREF="msg00578.html">Re: [MUD-Dev] The MLI Project</A></STRONG> </LI> <LI>Index(es): <UL> <LI><A HREF="index.html#00573"><STRONG>Date</STRONG></A></LI> <LI><A HREF="thread.html#00573"><STRONG>Thread</STRONG></A></LI> </UL> </LI> </UL> <!--X-BotPNI-End--> <!--X-User-Footer--> <!--X-User-Footer-End--> <ul><li>Thread context: <BLOCKQUOTE><UL> <LI><strong><A NAME="00567" HREF="msg00567.html">BOOK: Myer's Silverlock</A></strong>, coder <a href="mailto:coder#ibm,net">coder#ibm,net</a>, Mon 23 Feb 1998, 19:43 GMT <UL> <LI><strong><A NAME="00630" HREF="msg00630.html">Re: [MUD-Dev] BOOK: Myer's Silverlock</A></strong>, Adam Wiggins <a href="mailto:nightfall#user1,inficad.com">nightfall#user1,inficad.com</a>, Fri 27 Feb 1998, 23:33 GMT </LI> </UL> </LI> <LI><strong><A NAME="00560" HREF="msg00560.html">Re: [MUD-Dev] The MLI Project</A></strong>, Chris Gray <a href="mailto:cg#ami-cg,GraySage.Edmonton.AB.CA">cg#ami-cg,GraySage.Edmonton.AB.CA</a>, Mon 23 Feb 1998, 18:20 GMT <UL> <LI><strong><A NAME="00572" HREF="msg00572.html">Re: [MUD-Dev] The MLI Project</A></strong>, Ling <a href="mailto:K.L.Lo-94#student,lboro.ac.uk">K.L.Lo-94#student,lboro.ac.uk</a>, Tue 24 Feb 1998, 06:34 GMT <UL> <LI><strong><A NAME="00573" HREF="msg00573.html">Re: [MUD-Dev] The MLI Project</A></strong>, Andrew C.M.
