&gt; Frexx Programming Language (FPL) is an interpreting script/macro
&gt; language shared library, designed to be flexible and easy inserted
&gt; in any code.

&gt; anything about it?&gt;&gt;

Even though my name is not Chris...

From what little I know, Frexx is a word processor. The twist is that the
entire program can be linked to any other program that uses Rexx for IPC.
The equivalent for the MS world is something like DDE, COM and ActiveX
except that Rexx is scripted (ie: text file) so the user, not just the
developer, can tweak with it.

Funky things you can do? It's kinda obvious - the word processor is
extremely lean (except for the interpreter) and completely customisable.
Don't like the current spellchecker? Pick one that suits you, so long as
it supports Rexx. Wanna edit your picture? Just link it to a paint
package via Rexx script. And so on. Considering Rexx is practically an
integral part of the AmigaOS, a vast majority of commercial and shareware
packages support Rexx making this feature more than just a plain gimmick.
I'm kinda hoping this method of creating programs become standard, instead
of the monolithic giants that are the norm these days.

Whilst we're here, the following may also interest you:

NetRexx: &lt;URL:<A  HREF="http://www2.hursley.ibm.com/netrexx/">http://www2.hursley.ibm.com/netrexx/</A>&gt;
                          ^^^^^^^--- hurrah! :-)

Don't have a clue what this is, don't ask. It looks kinda interesting.

Rebol: &lt;URL:<A  HREF="http://www.rebol.com">http://www.rebol.com</A>&gt;

Some geezer called Carl Sassenrath decided to evolve Rexx and call it
REBOL.
